Abyss ground DOT

Not sure if it is just me but the DOT green "fire" that the abyss bosses throw on the ground seems way overtuned. It is doing a significant drain on my life as a warrior, and my friends as a monk. It makes melee against them extremely difficult and at times virtually impossible to complete.

I agree with this. Some Abyss enemies are very hard to find with melee Character. As a Monk myself i just spam them with Stormwave until they do or until i die.

Also why the hell does the Abyss spawns so many rares sometimes. I had Abysses with 7 rares all the same type.

is it chaos dmg? that would explain...

I'm not 100% sure, but it seems to me that Desecrated Ground disables my life leech as soon as I step on it. I can stand in a pack of 30 monsters and my life stays near max, but the moment I get Desecrated Ground under my feet I die in a second. I searched online and it says that Desecrated Ground deals chaos DoT, nothing about leech :< This is what the debuff icon that disables my leech looks like :[

You don't fight on desecrated ground tho, you're supposed to move out of it ASAP and even melee kite if necessary.

Escaping is impossible for my build. When I’m in the middle of a pack of mobs and Desecrated Ground appears under my feet, I’m instantly dead. I have no life regen at all, only leech :/ Well, I guess I just have to avoid abyss mobs at all costs.

I have exactly the same issue on my Warrior. Melee is pretty much off limits this league, unless they remove the DoT, or nerf it considerably.

My biggest problem with it is that it's very hard for me to see it.
