Leagues should be "Events" and Standard should be the focus for building characters

More speculation heaped upon a foundation with zero substance, ANYTHING to avoid admitting the truth.

Allowing all characters access to the same play experience would only improve the game. It reaches a wider market and doesn't treat customers like second-class citizens.

why do you want to split the player base at all costs?

Also OP consider the fact that new leagues bring major changes, balances and stuff so what is meta and op in the current league might be dogpoo the next so you'll have nothing to complete.

What is OP actually asking here?

Selective quotes continue as usual.

To the OP, another probably more important topic here is business ROI. GGG is a business and has to make profits to continue to exist and to grow. For the reasons mentioned previously, league exclusive content has a higher player retention than putting it directly into standard. The extra hype generated by exclusive content increases sales of supporter packs and MTX. Of course some people would still buy those things if there wasn't exclusive content, but I'm pretty convinced thar (and by their actions think that GGG feels the same) this method creates more sales. If GGG or Tencent believed there would be more revenue by not having exclusive content they would do that.

It's not unlike gacha games and their exclusive content available in limited time frames. Though also not an exact comparison since those games don't have economies.

They discussed this a long time ago in a presentation. Things can change for sure, but you'd have to provide some fiber evidence to this that they have.

Fair - but im not saying that Standard should get what leagues get. Im saying the opposite. Leagues should be unique and function identically to how they already are.

The change would be to standard - making it the destination that leagues funnel you to.

You play leagues to obtain new items and build tools for your standard character.

In fact - this change would increase ROI because of FOMO - people would fight tooth and nail to get the items from the league before it rotates out.
You mean the player base that dips after 2weeks?

Here's a genuine compromise: 2 weeks after a League launch, the content is turned on in Standard. This way, the speedrunners can have their fun, freshers can have their F R E S H and Standard players aren't forced to wait months for content updates.

That isn't the idea here.

Making leagues 'events' would combine standard and leagues - bringing the playerbase together.

Leagues would provide new content - Standard would be the end game.

Once the league is done - its done. The new items from that league would only be obtainable through trading or if you actually obtained it during the league.

This gives substance to both areas of the game. You get something from starting fresh in a new league, and you get to reap the benefits of playing in the league after its completed.

No, I'm aware that you want to exclude Standard from the novel content. I reject it.

Here is one of the interviews I'd wanted to find in the previous related topics, and it's pretty recent. Timestamp should be correct, or I'll fix it. Basically, they talk about the concept of borrowed power here being explicitly intentional as a way to let them give greater power during leagues and then scale it correctly to be added into standard in a way that makes sense without everyone turning into Tengen Toppan Gurren Lagann and melting server hardware.

The borrowed power system they want is compatible with concurrent release in Standard. Player power isn't an issue. They have total control over that.

You are the one being divisive: why do you insist on excluding Standard players?

Also, 'No Comment' on the proposed compromise?
