Why is warrior getting nerfed?

I think the new tree is gonna be incredibly impactful, not only does it have alot more clusters but they have also removed alot of travel points so you will get the option to pick more clusters.

My prediction would be that the new warrior clusters will give alot of life and buffs to armor. This could to some extent explain why they nerfed life from Giants Blood.


life? no.. they would have said if they had went back on that. Armor.. likely yes specialy buffs to elemental resistance in armor. Probably a few clusters about that.

And now that shield is crap we can skip the block change nodes!

What was your thoughts whenever they said evasion was the worst defense? Hearing that was enough for me to know where they were headed.

As for maces, i find it hard to believe there is any significant positive changes to the bottom left builds.



I think your ignoring alot of changes that are actually gonna be impactful buffs for warriors aswell, and even if you were right then its not gonna change the fact that its still just all speculation until we know how the new skill tree and support gems look.

Evasion is the worst defense.
Make a pure evasion build and tell me its worse then pure armor.
Evasion only works in combination with energy shield.

Agreed. I guess people who don't play warrior and didn't read the patch notes are commenting on this thread? No time to read the patch notes, but time to post on a forum?!?

And what option do you have with armour? You cant play armour builds without life either. Except bottom left builds have to travel across the universe to build es because the top left of the tree is barren compared to the entire right side and there is no life on the tree outside of 1 wheel and its 3%. Your only hope was stacking the crap out of strength and they just nerfed that and didnt hint at any changes to putting life on the tree. Which was a design philosophy that they have doubled down on before. IF they were going to change that they could have brought it up in the livestream or the q a to hype people up.

I think the key is to play what GGG wants you to play. They want you to play bows this league. So play bows.

I'm dead set on a crazy rolling slam build though. Will not be great.

Not hard.. again combine with the video (several thigns were in video and are not in patch notes) and the fact that warrior will pratically always hit by DEFAULT at close range (so the node that gives always hit became obsolete.. not nerfed).

The warrior had a huge SIDEGRADE.. weird sidegrade true. But if you stop and read carefully (remembering that maces are likely the weapon that will mostly benefit from martial tempo spam) it will read as a small nerf (not talking about specific ascendencies.. just the base).
alright, so default attack has a really high chance to hit. What if you want to use a skill with aoe. If you use sunder how much accuracy do you have to have for the end of the aoe to hit a monster?

I guess thats why they reduced the aoe on some of the slam skills so you wouldnt notice how bad your chance to hit was outside of your characters radius. They cant be too far away if your skills dont have any aoe.

That's not in the patch notes. Please read the patch notes. Accuracy is improved, but RT is gutted. RT has been a staple for POE melee builds for about a decade.

They did say you wont need much accuracy to hit at close range. But who the heck wants to play this game in close range of monsters with armour being crap and block getting nerfed.
