I was wrong. New Giant's Blood is better.
" Yeah I definitely agree with u that their track record so far is pretty poor. I still remember the nerfs to poison concoction. The thing is, so far Warriors basically had no choice than playing Giant's Blood 2h to pair it with a shield and go max block. GGG is trying to change that, but as u said only nerfing things doesn't cut it. The change to sunder is good, but not nearly enough. Maybe Giant's Blood should instead make u be able to dual wield 2h weapons, but not put on a shield. So if u want the safety of a shield, u have to use a one handed mace and lose dps for that. At the same time tho, they have to give some more upsides to the faster attack speed of one handers, maybe give them a stacking bleed Keystone or something. I don't know, I'm not great at finding solutions :D |

" U're right, I totally forgot about that one. But obvously that was not what OP was talking about, but it's true that u don't have to spec into as much strength as before because of that change. Dernière édition par Sadaukar#2191, le 22 août 2025 à 09:09:31

Warrior is going to be meta, people here crying hard have no idea about the game.

" Which hardly matters at all because they reduced the actual stat points you will get by going through the skill tree. Realistically the stat reduction is only there because you wouldn't be able to equip ANYTHING with the new skill tree lol Edit: Now read your previous response. Yeah, it's a shame they just go for nerfs as fix for everything and anything. Really doesn't feel great Dernière édition par Gruncik#2190, le 22 août 2025 à 12:07:16

" Do u have a source for that? Just checked the patch notes and couldn't find anything that backs this up. As far as I understood GGG, they reduced the requirements, because they introduced many more new Notables and Keystones. So in order to spec into them, u can't get as many stats on the tree as u would beforehand. They didn't say, that they reduced the amount of stats on the tree or on certain Notables tho. |

0.2:
Need 636 Str for Giant's Blood (Top mace tiers have base 212 Str requirement). This incidentally grants 2 life per 1 strength, so a warrior will have ~1302 base life to work with. I'm not going to include any % increases to life here or life from gear to keep it simple. 0.3: Need 477 Str for Giant's Blood (212*0.75*3) and now the warrior will have 477 base life before increases/additions because now str and life are 1:1. That's 825 less hp. Brief look at poe2.ninja shows me that in hcssf 0.2, the top level users of Giant's Blood hover somewhere in between 3-4k HP. So the ones that would be ~4k would be around 3.2k and the ones at 3k would be around 2.2k It may sound like a large disparity, but consider that in 0.3 a warrior which does not use Giant's Blood has no minimum requirement of strength above 159 Str, which is 318 base HP. Giant's Blood users will have on average less HP than before but the sky is not falling, and it is still very useable as a keystone. This does significantly increase the impact of flat life rolls on gear for Giant's Blood users but they also may need to focus more on other layers of defense as opposed to leaning so heavily on a life pool - this already applies to warriors in general across the board in 0.3 due to the 25% attr. requirement reduction. I think the big plus is.. you will need less STR so you will have more useful places to use your passive points. So while the Giatn Blood node will be weaker the character using it might not end up weaker when that is taken into account.

" I think that probably IS what the OP was talking about, but didn't explain himself very clearly. Technically, giants blood was straight-up nerfed. But it now exists in an ecosystem that is more hospitable to it, which makes it intrinsically better. |

Surely one of the new Warrior clusters is a life cluster, right? /sarcasm
