In summary, this system allows you to target farm specific mods by killing specific monsters in specific areas. It's like farming a specific act zone to farm a specific divination card, but for rare items, and it's particularly amazing for leveling since you can play whatever you want without being worried about gear.

can you explain how does that differ from Alva mods for example?

alva mods are still random within a mod group, and it's just one mod

it takes time to set up a temple

MI items have more than one guaranteed affix, sometimes 4 guaranteed affixes
example, https://grimdawn.fandom.com/wiki/Fabius%27_Shoulderguard

MI items are also used in crafting, so even if it's not useful for your build, it can be useful to craft something you need

"buff grenades"

- Buff Grenades (Buff-Grenades)

i see, it sounds like a spin on craft items from D2 (safety/cater/blood etc cube recipes).

The target farming sounds good but in practice it will just corral people into a certain area/content and make everything else feel like a 'waste of time' both in ssf and trade.
maybe Essences that do this? those need a buff anyway and result will be same without funneling people into anything.
+1. TQ2 made a good start. It has a lot of potential to be one of best games in year.

Hello,

I just played Titan Quest 2 a bunch, which just "shadow dropped", as they seem to say. I must say, it's everything that I thought PoE 2 wanted to be.

It's tactical:

Positioning matters. One wrong move and you end up dead very quickly. Enemies make you move, dodge, stun them when they do special attacks and every single one of them seems to be a decent foe. Skills need to be used properly, which doesn't really seem to be the case in PoE 2, where I can just spam a single spell or skill and be mostly fine (Frozen Locust, I choose you!). Skills in TQ 2 seem to be more fine tuned towards how combat ought to work. I see a big mob in the back, I cast ignite on it and then deal with the little mobs through a whirlwind type attack. In PoE 2 that kind of tactical thinking almost never finds relevance.

Beat the whole thing just standing & spamming Lightning Bolt once available with occasional use of Blink to avoid boss attacks, it's really nothing like you've claimed as it's very bare bones at the moment.

I'm sure it will be a nice little offline filler game when finished, I enjoyed TQ1 but can't see this one offering a lot more than a graphical update over the original.

Spent 12 hours on my first run through with an RF/fissure type build. Amazing game. Love the original, this is better and will be better in every way. The graphics and ambient music are amazing . The story is fantastic and not a borefest or cryptic mess like D4 and Poe respectively. Can’t wait till Nov for the next content update. Pure joy playing a modernized traditional ARPG that is first and foremost fun.
Apart from crashing constantly it seemed very generic arpgish to me. But whatever floats your boat.
after playing a little bit, way weaker than grim dawn. seems like some cash-grab to me. good luck with that 10 year EA
Current Build: Penance Brand
God build?! https://pobb.in/bO32dZtLjji5

Sure TQ2 is cool and stuff but it's more a glorified demo version in the current state and that for 25$. Guess the H&S arpg market craves for anything new but imo overpriced for what it offers currently.

Masterpiece of 3.16 lore
"A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. She hands you a rusty-looking device called the Blood Crucible and urges you to implant it into your body."

Only usable with Ethanol Flasks

That's the point - as more things get added the price will also increase. At the end it'll cost double what it costs now. So well invested I guess? What a great start though, although not a fan of the huge areas.

Well hopefully they will still have some incentive to finish the game at some point.
