YOUR GAME IS
|
Well, if you've played souls games or watched people play them enough.. you'll notice that they have far far far less mobs than in poe2. No Rest For The Wicked, Elden Ring, etc.
Those types of games do have some packs of mobs, but the packs are much less than in poe2 and not nearly as often. Poe2 leans more towards heavy crowd control and AoE combat (hence why you see most players using projectile skills like LS, heralds last season, spark last season, etc). Hopefully that explains why Poe2 being "souls like" will ruin it both short and long term for the vast majority of players. You cannot be a "souls like" game and at the same time throw 100's of mobs at a player every map. White mobs should not be the strongest and most challenging to deal with.. bosses and sometimes rares should be. Do you guys see how having a bunch of nameless white mobs being your biggest concern is frustrating and tedious? It makes defenses useless other than having a ton of ES or the best gear in the game. Edit: For example, parry works great in "souls like" games because you're dealing with a single or small little group of enemies at one time. This mechanic utterly fails in a game like poe2 when it requires you to be quick, while having 20 mobs jump on you at light speed all at once, while also having on-death ground effects everywhere and projectiles flying at you from all over the place.
