Exp Lost On Death doesn't work in 2025.

game can not punish us until its perfect about mechanics. punish me when %100 of my fault to die. my suggestion, standart xp pen rate lowered after lvl 90 to %5. after 95, make it %10 okay... hardcore, still %10 and if you lost at bottom, you die and lose a random gear piece to revive. or another silly punishment, doesnt matter. why? becosue still, we die out of nothing, to some random sht or to bug... and yet, its EA. make thinks easier on some things. then lift it later. and tell about it. TELL like this: ''Guys this is EA. We gonna try this, and see. we will remove it or add another thing blabbla''. Esp. they must add instant trade avalible and TRY it! its fkin EA please... if not now, tell about it aswell, dont ranaway please, dear GGG |

" Its much better to fix the things that people are calling BS deaths than remove xp penalty " The thing people seems to be complaining about the most is above lvl 95 xp penalty so this would do nothing " Your going to freak out when you learn what happens when you die on an actual HC in POE. xp penalty is light compared to that. Any XP penalty adjustment like removing it or making it only lose what you lost in the map or anything where would cant lose more than you started a map with will result in a system where you can brute force your way to 100 by just continuing to throw maps in no matter what your build looks like. Yes i agree they can try things because its EA and it looks like they have every intention of trying different things especially fixing "BS" mechanics but all of that takes dev time and i just dont think "removing xp loss" is a good solution in the meantime. I think the devs have even explicitly stated they are working on something for trade (maybe auction house) like that they will try during EA. We get to watch a game be made and have a little imput, i just dont like when people say "this bad, get rid of" when they dont know what type of game the devs are trying to build. |

i'm sorry but the more you read these exp loss thread the more you notice that most (Not all) of the one who complain lack knowledge about the game. Talking about random invisible mechanics, sometime don't even know about omens, compere HC to softcore penality, ect... And if you feel the penality are actualy reasonable then you must be in "a cult" abusing rmt and only playing youtube copypaste build :D

" Nonsense. T17s are a prime example of complete backwards balancing. I ran a T17 Ziggurat map the other day with my level 98 tank character, on my way to 99, and the map had "Volatile Cores" + "All damage can Poison". I didn't know how hard those fucking orbs hit, but I sure as shit found out that day. And I made the mistake of adding a ton of rares and Harbingers to the map. It sucked hard. And you know the best part about it all? I completely facetanked the boss fight in that map, even with damage mods from Eater altars, yet I couldn't tank more than 1 of those stupid orbs. Caught me completely off-guard. And this on a character where I'd previously facetank endgame bosses such as Eater slams, Shaper's bullet hell/beam etc. This is exactly the type of BS that makes me just rage-quit the game. " 1. you are talking about POE1 right now not poe2 2. Its very easy to scale up map mobs to be stronger than bosses, just look at the rogue exile strats in pherecia, each giant rogue does more damage and is tankier than any uber boss. it is what it is and its very fun to scale up those guys like mad so they become insane loot pinatas 3. you arent wrong for being frustrated that you got one hit by a volitile orb that just decided you needed to die, the issue is if you continued to roll those maps or add more juice and still are frustrated. If you were smart (which im assuming you are if your able to make a build that can tank most anything) you wouldve told yourself "oh damn, yea cant do a combo of all those mods together i should avoid that" and moved on to the next map. |
