Why does POE2 try so hard to reduce the fun at high levels?

Don't feel too bad, almost 600 hours here, multiple mid 90s (yep I can't do it past there fuck that) and I've played solo and with rarity bros and groups and in that whole time those 100's or 1000's or maps I have seen 1 x level 20 gem drop haha!

Personal thing obviously because some chumps about to come up here and brag but yeah to me that's quite wild.

I'm a homebound disabled person, I can and do nolife POE, and this design vision from GGG staff is a level of toxic i've never seen before.

They are essentially trying to make us eat our veggies, but a full grown adults [Removed by Support] I expect to get what I want. Not what someone else dictates I can have.

you don't need lvl 100, lvl 94 is perfectly fine to considere your leveling over.
The loot part i agree mostly bc HCSSF is imo the most enjoyable way of playing and i would love easier way to get 6L or specific unique.

6 passive points is a lot of power left on the table.

If 94 is good enough then surely 88 is good enough.

If 88 is good enough, surely 82 is good enough, yeah?

My monk is lvl95. If I got him to 100 that would be a LOT of dmg or defense that would make T4 pinnacle bosses much easier to deal with.

The very second something akin to 5ways from POE 1 become available there will be no end of people offering that service and buying that service.

No. It would not be "a LOT of dmg or defense".

With only a few exceptions, nearly all builds are "done" in the early 90s related to the power from the passive tree.

The game is literally designed that way, that you reach a point before the possible max where everything beyond that is not mandatory anymore and/or a small increase only for ppl who really want to min/max.

If you are level 94 you have 6 points left. If you are lucky, you can spend them without attribute travel nodes and gain some power, if you need to travel for something useful, it becomes even less powerful. Could be you need 3 for travel and can only spend your points on a 3-pointer wheel, or you need 4 and have 2 left for an okayish node and so on.

In PoE1, most of the time the last few points CAN be huge because ppl spend them in "Medium Cluster Jewels", but they don't exist in PoE2. So...
