CPU, as well as a funny story by the developers
" 2k hours in poe1 over 13 years is casual buddy. Hell even 2k over the past year is barely even playing the game, that's just about 38 hours a week or ~5 hours a day. My expectations are that in order for me to play the latest games at the highest settings for the best visual and audible experience, I have to have good hardware, but I'm not about to re-mortgage the house to get a 5090 so a 7900XT (which cost me £700 was more than good enough) |

" Your PC isn't great. It's acceptable with low expectations of quality. It's about on par with the consoles for performance, and the game runs like poop on them! It is early access (a beta effectively) It has been a windows 11 issue, specifically with update 24h2, GGG themselves even said that. Dernière édition par MadMossy#1934, le 10 févr. 2025 13:31:06

Most of the issues are caused indirectly by Windows 11, however I still see some people under Windows 10 having crashes tho I think those are related to another problem.
To those saying someone's CPU is outdated or not good enough, PoE2 is not a multicore game, it will use only 1 core close to the max and use some other cores partially; typical behavior of a "single core" game, same goes with PoE1, in both cases you can run the game just fine with a 4 cores CPU. However if you don't have an high end video card, your performance will not be great in PoE2 which I believe is a very lack of optimization (or stuff get spammed behind the scene when it shouldn't). zero problems
full smooth as fuck ryzen 7 7800x3d rtx 4070 ti super nvme ssd pcie 5.0 But I know from friends that the game still has very few performance problems, and once these are fixed, PoE2 will be one of the best optimized games in my opinion. |

There are some issues, they seem to be patched a bit after the last patch we received but it is not smooth, some maps are still a bit kappa, and Grass Tower is a gentle massacre for me as well.

It feels like the developers themselves are sitting on the forum and defending their game...
Show at least one poe 2 performance test, similar to my hardware, where there will be a stable 150+ fps. I'm especially interested in the Savannah map, it has such great performance and one of the "easiest" bosses))) Let's be honest. There is no optimization in the game! And developers should understand this and solve this problem first of all, if of course they want the game to be truly successful. AMD Ryzen 5 7500f, RTX 3060ti, 32gb ddr5, nvme ssd pcie 5.0 For such hardware, it is quite realistic to optimize, in which it will be possible to get 150+ stable frames per second at maximum settings. With all due respect, the graphics in the game are not at such a level that, at maximum settings, they do not have 150+ frames per second CONSISTENTLY. So far, these are just dreams that, it seems to me, the developer will successfully bury deeper into the ground. Dernière édition par ОлежаТанк#0797, le 11 févr. 2025 00:53:55

i don't think it's UE though.
wasnt it some in-house engine they wrote themselves? |
![]() |
I was really wrong about the engine. Before the game was released, I read somewhere that the game would be developed on UE5.
This is good news, but I would like to hear from the developers about the constantly loading shaders in real time. It's disgusting, it breaks the promise of excellent performance. |
