CPU, as well as a funny story by the developers

While your hardware could be considered OK, it is old, I'd also say the currently recommended specifications for PoE2 are incorrect when you consider the entire pipeline for development.

An i5 10600 is only a 6 core cpu, vs the PS5, Xbox which are both 8 core, the windows version is likely developed for 8 cores well, certainly the performance difference between an i5 10500 (recommended intel cpu) and the Ryzen 3700X is fairly substantial as one cpu has 6 cores vs the others 8 cores and higher clock speeds.

The 2060 is also 7 years old now, which in GPU terms is old as shit.

I think the expectations of casual pc gamers for their once expensive system to be able to play modern games flawlessly is a little unrealistic.

If once the game releases they can optimise performance to the point its "playable" then that is about all you can expect, but expecting your system to be able to run flawlessly 1080p 60fps under all gameplay condition is basically delusional.

APRG's have and always will be extremely demanding on your CPU, any game that requires a significant number of draw calls to the GPU api will need a beefy CPU to keep up.

I run a i8700k, 16GB of ddr4, and a 1660ti. This pushes a 3440x1440 monitor. At lowest settings, I still average 60fps. Other than the issues everyone else is complaining about, it seems fine. Perhaps your conclusion is wrong.

My system is not top level, but I think is more inline with a good gaming sytem that is indicative of most peoples rigs:

5700X3d
ASUS ROG 3060TI
32GB Ram
WD 850Black SSD's
X570 Mobo
850 Seagate Platinum PSU
Be Quiet Dark Rock Cooler
All up to date drivers, all gone through by two separate friends that are proficient with PC's (one is an IT manager)
ETC.

I was suffering non stop crashes that bricked my PC to restart any time i tried using Dx12 until this last update and I have not crashed since then. I don't think it is explicitly the hardware that is the issue. Through my network of friends, everyone with an X3d chip and an Nvidia GPU had issues. One outlier has a Radeon 7900GRE and had no issues. I don't know if that means anything, but it is interesting. Point being, it probably isnt the guys older tech that was causing the issues.
Is it possible that my hardware can't handle it? I have i7-7700 CPU 3.60GHZ (8CPUs) 16gb ram Nvidia GTX 1080Ti
12gb and with that I can't do ritual or breach or delirium before it loads my character crashes
If it is 24h2 then why does the same crash happen on systems running 23h2
i have an i9/4070s/32gb ram
to say its my system is just pushing clueless blame

oh well i guess i wont start playing again since its is STILL not fixed
ill check back in another month. enjoy my money GGG

My hardware is not "Old" for playing Path of Exile 2.
My hardware is better then recommended requirements.

I don't need to spend more money to buy a better CPU for Path of Exile 2.

And Nvidia RTX 2060 12 GB have December 7th, 2021 as release date.
I don't have the "old" version of 2060.

I know that my hardware is not a "NASA" Pc but it is good for Path of Exile 2.
I can play EASILY to Black Myth Wukong, Stalker 2, Cyberpunk.

and for your "I think the expectations of casual pc gamers" why you are thinking that I am a "Casual Player"?
"Expectations"?

What are you talking about?

I have 2K hours on PoE 1 so I'm not a Casual player.

Literally all the crash complaints have come from either windows 24h2 users or nvidia graphics cards. Could it be that the nvidia drivers need some work? Absolutely.

It could also be an issue with the game as no doubt they focus on AMD hardware considering both the PS5 and Xbox run on it.

There are a lot of People that have same issues (not smooth gameplay) even with hardware better then mine.

Stop with this attitude that you and other people have.

"Buy another pc"
"You pc is a crap"
"Its EA!"
"It's Windows 11 fault"
"Touch the grass".

You really don't know what are you talking about.
