Just had the column wielding quadrilla effectively one shot 3200 health and 70% armor. First he roll attacked from idle in a single frame for a good.... 2000 damage? Then I move and dodge behind him and his slam still killed me after recovering to about 2800 health.

Yep. My fault entirely for not having 99% armor and 6k health with 0.001% top end gear. Yep. My fault for not dodging an undodgeable attack that hit from his asshole. Yep. It's all the player, it's not the game. Zero additional damage mods on him or the map, still my fault. Uh huh.

This game's atrocious balance situation just makes this one-portal shit so much worse and just makes it that much more infuriating given how much I genuinely enjoy the moment to moment gameplay. God fucking damnit, armor/life is so shit right now.
I rarely ever die (61 deaths across all characters in just shy of 550 hours), and just ran into what I have to assume was a bug of a 1 shot in a Copper Citadel (again, I might add).
The rare had always poisons, temporal, volatile plants, and shroud walker. He teleported on top of me and I was dead with several volatile plants at my corpse. We all know volatile plants take a second normally to spawn the orbs as well as a second for them to detonate. But this all happened in the exact moment he teleported onto me. There was no chance to dodge, there was nothing to react to and avoid.

That copper citadel is now lost, the exp is lost (luckily 2.5% but that's still a chunk of time lost in the high 90s), and all the time setting up the towers around it is lost. This is the kind of shit that causes practically all my deaths (don't get my wrong, I've had a few were I was stupid and looking at my inventory while standing in fire). Literally being punished for a Dev "L" feels like crap and makes me want to just walk away and spend my time and money elsewhere since they clearly don't respect ours.

Sir, you make GGG blush:) Maybe I don't remember, but have yet to hear you say anything outside of 2 themes:
- I am satisfied by this game design, hence design is correct
- You (others) perform worse at this game than me on stream, hence everything you say is false if it isn't the same as I say

I'll even throw you a bone here: I have stopped playing poe2 back in December, so you can now reply with that. Unfortunately cannot advice how to reply to all the other people who write pretty much same things as me on certain aspects of game design. Must be confusing:)

Not everyone dies to King Kong but yeah, you happen to be playing the worst class in the game. Not your fault but it is EA and things may improve for warriors but it's going to be awhile
Yea I kind of want the 8 portals back or least 4, a little bit of leniency? Im dying in every map Ive tried so far. I got my Witch to level 68 and was dying as soon as I stepped into a map. so I made a Monk and Im level 68 and still dying in every map.

I know get gud or go home. But arent we suppossed to be testing this game as its EA ? I dont even want to play anymore after 1000000 deaths through the campaign and 1 shot at each map..

Hope some changes come eventually

Lots of the pro one-portal people just blame everyone that hates it for being bad or not having good gear regardless of how little challenge most maps will offer on average, so just felt the need to vent on yet another reason why it is terrible, that being this game's current atrocious state of balance. It is the most nonsensical thing, there are enemies with windups that do less damage than enemies with basically instant hits. I can have one rare in a map do <200 a hit yet another rare in the same map of the same mob type can do >2500 a hit. There are mobs with essentially the same attack pattern as others (just cast an elemental bolt every .8 seconds) yet one type will tickle and the other can be white and do 300+ damage like it's ignoring half my resists. And then shit like this where my armor means nothing. For the same investment, an energy shield class could have survived 2 more of the same hits before dropping while the physical resist class dies to pure phys. 0.2.0 better feature some serious balancing, especially buffs to armor/life, and ideally some serious overhauls of the death penalty and one-portal system.

Dying quite that much may be a mix of build, gear, and player skill. This game requires a completely different approach from poE1 given it is much more mechanical. That said, this game's current balance state is pretty terrible, so I wish you luck figuring things out. Haven't played an isometric ARPG combat system that felt this good since Lost Ark and V Rising, so I desperately want it work out.
