Oh I'm ready to meet GGG in the middle, I ve made some propositions on previous posts.

In a same fashion I can say :

We could have : you know what guys, I disagree with you but I understand that it is your opinion and it's understandable from your point of view so I'll make another thread with my own feedback saying that XP penalty is essential and everybody that agrees with me will post there.

But instead we have : omg all arpg have penalty XP, it's essential all veterans know that, you guys want to click one button and finish the game, with no XP penalty even my grandma will kill Ubers. I'm selling Uber kills to people who are afraid of dying plz don't take away my business. What don't you play another game like D4, lvl 100 is just an achievement, it's not meant for everyone, just for me, etc etc

Go figure

You try to be smart but you don't get it at all.

People accepting XP penalty don't need to make their own posts approving its existence as it's just the REALITY of what PoE2's endgame is about. It wouldn't be feedback as nothing constructive would be said.

Meanwhile, people asking for a plain removal of XP penalty are refusing REALITY and asking for fundamental changes to the core designs because they can't deal with it. It's not feedback, it's venting anger and frustration while blaming the game for their failures, while also failing to understand the meaning and the reasons of its existence.

Ah, then we're all good there since you don't lose 15% xp when you die in POE1 or in POE2.

It's pretty telling about how far someone has played when they can't even get that simple part correct.

you do know its 15% or close to that right? Im clearing t15 maps and dying maybe once ever 25-30 maps bro wtf lol

No, it's not close to 15% and never has been. One [Removed by Support] streamer [Removed by Support] said "it's probably something like 15%" and idiots have been parroting that ever since.

It is 0% during campaign, shortly into endgame it is 10% and it never changes.

because the last levels are fully optional. if they were mandatory, it would be easier to reach for sure. thats some extra levels for the people that want to grind them. if you want to invest more, there is more. same as maps. if you want to invest and juice more, you get more in return.

Okay, that was the point I made in the TLDR. It's optional but there are walls preventing a portion of the player base reaching it. If it's optional and doesn't impact anything then why not take down some of those walls, for the players who don't play 3, 4 , 5+ hours a day?

think about it. do you rly want to balance a "grinding" game around casuals with the peak reachable easy for everyone? there is no reason to play if youre done after 4 days. people want goals to achieve. if everybody reaches a goal, achieving it is worthless. and there has to be something for the people that want to grind something. lvls are not mandatory for anything, so its fine.

I totally get your point. I don't want to make the game super easy, at all. But a good balance between difficult and time consumption would be a great start.

If the level cap is optional and does not inherently make it so you can beat the end game content - then why wall it against the players who simply have less time to play each league? I think there should be a better balance, I guess.

I apologize if I'm not articulating my thoughts well

no apologie needed, i understand your take. you should not focus on getting some levels at the end or not.
like i said, the higher you go, the harder it gets.
if you dont want to invest the same amount as somebody else, you should get less in return. no matter if its levels or anything else. i think its fair.
but they should give us 6 portals back so waystones and content doesnt brick instantly.

You're no POE 2 game designer / developer. You have no clue what POE endgame is all about, so get off your high horse. You're like anyone here, you just want the game to be the way you want it to be that fit you play style and your game time. And you know what, me too. So I don't see why you're arguing here. Let people do their feedback and do as you wish with yours, you're not going to change your mind and my mind.

POE 2 is a game in EA, best moment to give feedback. You think your feedback is a granted reality ? Good for you.

But you know 1 portal is part of the core game. And you don't want everybody brute forcing every map and boss with 6 portals. One portal is essential. You miss you lose, you have to have better defences. You can be running glass Cannon and expect to complete all waystones.

Totally agree with the portals.

I think they'll balance that out for sure.
