POE2 Shutdown of my PC: A fix

Bought a new PC thinking my old one was finally giving up.
Started playing PoE2 for the first time after getting it, and it crashed after a few minutes in game.

Old PC:
1800x
32GB Ram 2400mhz
7800xt
850w psu

New PC
7600
32gb ram 6000mhz
7800xt
750w psu
I posted about this, too. Now that I think about it, what many setups have in common is having ASUS ROG branded hardware.

Armory Crate has always sucked. I'll uninstall it and let you know if it makes a difference.

EDIT: against all odds, it looks like this actually worked.

Well, I had issues with my PC shutting off when this game first launched. I played Dawn of the Huntress without a single crash the entire run.

However, since the new patch for the Third Edict, my PC is at it again.

I am running a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, B650 Tomahawk, and 32 GB of DDR5 Ripjaw. MSI GeForce RTX 4080 Super, 1000W PSU.

So looks like my PC will shut off in order to prevent any permanent damage but don't understand why this is the only game causing this issue.

I know when the game first released, there were massive issues with 4090s getting cooked. I was experiencing some issues, but after applying some Windows or GGG patches, it seemed to be a thing of the past.

I have done some stress tests to make sure that everything is in working order and lowered my graphics and FPS to the lowest the game will allow, and yet still have issues.

I can play D4, BF6 (Beta) with max settings with no issues, and the same can be said for COD, Cyberpunk, or Gray Zone Warfare.

If anyone knows some tricks, I would love to hear them because the game at this stage is unbearable to play or not enjoyable. I really want to play and feel that what I'm running is not at a low end just yet.
I wanted to share the solution I found for POE 2. Right now, DLSS is off, but when I had it on before, the PC reset issue completely went away. When I turned DLSS off and switched back to NIS (Default), the game would close and the PC would reset again. It seems like the PSU detects some kind of high voltage and shuts down the PC to protect itself.

I also tested different RAM setups. I was initially using 2x Vengeance LPX 8 GB and 1x G-Skill 16 GB RAM. I removed the 16 GB stick and tried the game no issues. Then I removed the 2x 8 GB sticks and continued playing with just the single G-Skill 16 GB again, no problems.

I found a map with Delirium and Breach, added 1 Waystone to the Delirium, and tested whether having more monsters in the game would cause issues. Nothing happened.

It seems that even if the RAM has the same MHz, using different RAM sticks together can cause problems in this game. The PSU gets overloaded and the PC resets as a result. From my experience, simplifying the RAM setup is very effective in preventing this issue.

Edit; So far, it looks like running DLSS on is the only stable way I can play without risking crashes and resets. Unfortunately, even after about 5 hours of play, the problem can still reappear if I don’t use it.
