[Feedback] Movement Speed on Boots is Mandatory, Make It Implicit

This is not WoW where a feat tree was too complicated for the players.

You are supposed to have to choose whats best for your character on your gear, giving up one stat for another in this case movement speed vs something else.

And the argument that movement speed is required for everybody is completely false.
There are builds that don't need movement speed on boots for example people using Blink or Queen of the Forest etc, and I suspect we will see more in the future.


Cool. And if you don't meet the requirements for Blink or need the skill slot for something else, and your chest piece is needed for something else or you can't afford QotF/you're playing SSF and don't drop one?
Implicit is a terrible idea especially in the way you described. Real problem is how rare the mod is plus how rare are rare items in general in PoE2, just adjusting the weight of the mod as in buffing how often it rolls would be enough of a fix, maybe even we could go step further into easing this by adding MS to suffix pool with getting prefix and suffix block each other or, add few hybrid mods like defense/Ms or some other ones.
I agree.

As a minion player that requires Bones of Ullr with ZERO movement speed the game feels so slow and boring. I can only tolerate like 3 maps before I get bored.
+1 would help me walk faster on slow warrior with armor/shield that reduces movement speed through those large maps.
These boots just keep on walking, cause that's just what they do!

Why exactly is making Movement Speed an implicit a, "terrible idea"? Why do you think permanently crippling boots with only 2 prefixes when they normally get 3 is a good thing?

You didn't actually counter the argument. You just went, "No, bad!" Tell me how the thing that multiple other ARPGs has done is a bad thing. Also tell me what you expect a player to do when they are fighting a boss that requires Movement Speed bonuses, has none reasonably reachable on their tree, and doesn't have it on their boots?

Shoes that don't increase movement speed go in the trash, so I think it's good that all shoes have mods.
Jonathan, for Patch 0.4.0, this suggestion would greatly improve the game.

Just delete movement speed from boots entirely, overwise ppl will try to snipe boots with implicits (which is mandatory)
