IMHO: poe2 is dead already...as a game
" In the week yea it’s around 400 that’s how employment and school works see how it is tomorrow afternoon |

" I would say the massive poe2 hype brought people to try Settlers, and Settlers also looking a bit better than the average league. I wouldn't expect much from the next poe1 league. |

numbers go down when the hype dies. None of my friends are playing it after the massive plug of hours we put in the first 2 weeks. they all have the same exact reasons. Game runs like shit, Game has so many issues. We might come back when the game gets fixed in a year or so or not, either way running garb maps with 1 death and lack of creative passive trees and being forced to play certain ways with crap mechanics didn't hold our attention roughly 10 or 11 of us just wont be back or wont be back for a while.
Our numbers and opinions mean nothing to the "player count" machine (daily player counts dropping fast from almost 600k to less than 280k daily a trend that wont stop for another month im sure when it joins the ranks of the same trash games no one plays). No ill will for people who enjoy it, it is a game and is supposed to be fun but for me and my group path of exile is ruined and we will all be on other games until its fun for us again. (I do however feel burned for wasting money on yet another EA game but thats my own fault never buy the game before release) |

I'm glad this is Early Access. If it was the official release version, I would never play it again. I think there are some elements that need drastic measures (action elements that only require evasion, enemies that get in the way of movement, Sekema's trial, etc.). I think Early Access will last for more than a year. I hope it will be better in the official release version.

You know what I agree with you. Since the problem is that in its current state there is so many problems and you can see through the game design philosophy that there is oppositions to game design currently within the game.
Its clearly they want melee and armor, life, energy shield to work but also put stuff in that are directly countering out each other. You have eldrith battery that makes energy shield into mana but there is a monster mod that drain man. They counter each other. You will properly not have starter only mana build at all. You simply die. Maybe in lategame and you found the "PERFECT" gear is possible but you will not be doing a mana build. I am just saying its removing build diversity. You give melee shield that only block some attacks. Melee, in general, is in a bad state unless you have huge aoe or ranged spell to circumvent you melee disadvantage. You give low dps in the beginning instead of an introduction to game mechanics in a more shuttle way. They said in an interview they would not be doing a "MINION" ascendancy for a class which in my opinion will make it harder for them to have build diversity. You need to be structured and give clear information for people to build a good build. There is too many hidden stats or none-explained game mechanics for new players to understand the game. Stuff like, if i use my mana as energy shield does the same mechanics work for my mana as it does for energy shield or does my mana work the same way life does or does it work in a totally different way? The support gem upgrade system should just show what support skill gems help the selected skill gem. Please for the love of god make it clear what support gems help my skill gems in a easy to understand way. The way it works now i have to select my skill and 3 recommended support gems are there and i have to select all support skill gems to get the ones that i need for the build to work. Please dont obscure things that should be simple and clear to understand. Its in early access and hope they fix some of this. |

The game is definitely not for the faint hearted. I'm not a very good gamer, but I love it. It took me some time to find a build that worked for me. I still died a lot, and I don't mind if I messed up, learn from it move on. The instant death where I had no options killed the game for me. I had just one to many instant deaths. I have accepted the fact that I suck badly at this game and it may not be for me. That or my wife is going to leave me for swearing at the PC.
I do hope it’s a great success because, I would love to have another go at full launch. You never know stranger things have happened. |

" You are a smart player and more mature than most PoE players. I know it sucks to die but it makes success worth it. Remember, you don't need to -finish- the Endgame to find fun. Just do you at your level, don't push too fast forward for the golden carrot. Good luck, Exile. |
