[3.26] Ice Dancing God - Icestorm/Cyclone/CI - Viable For Everything



I guess I got really lucky with the standard double influenced amu craft.
Any suggestions how to go on from here since I still got 1 open pre and suffix?

It's a multiplication of average hit. For the max calculation, look up the calculation somewhere in the thread. Personally, I use 8 times average hit, which is about two storms IIRC, to give a rough idea against an enemy that moves.
I am always surprised how profitable and fun Delve is.
I mean I am not calculating my div/hours, but I had a few plans (get tranquility, get a +int% belt, get an upgrade or two) for the few hours I could play, and with relatively little investment, I found a div, ~50-60c and sold all the resonators for around ~300c. All in all, predictable, fun, and steady. I do not know what is happening with maps and all that jazz.

But now I am at 1850 int, gearing a mercenary who does ICESTORM (he covers frostbite and actually, discipline too), and dps starts to get to acceptable levels.

Got this on first try, but now I can barely see anything in dark places with 90% reduced light radius lmao
The +1 gems is just the elevated hybrid with the 12% int fwiw.
I want to get a ring, but I have difficulties with the translation and how it works. I am from the Russian Federation, could I contact the company so that someone could craft a ring for me, indicating the amount. And all my crafts are the minimum percentages that exist...
Just wanted to post a bit more about mercs.

I've been doing a fair bit of high difficulty maps (super juiced abyss, T17 strongboxes, etc) And I have to say, my merc with Anathema and curse on hit ring is VERY reliably cursing packs before the ice storm falls and kills them, especially when I'm surrounded by tanky abyss rares etc. Basically, if she's close enough for Obliterations to proc, she likely has already cursed things.
(Especially in T17s/8 mod T16.5s, where commonly enemies will be much tankier with either more health, ele res, or reduced crit damage taken.)

I've also been using Garb of the Ephemeral for the action speed slow/crit immunity and it has been very nice.

I think I can comfortably recommend adding Anathema and an ele weakness ring, and Kaom's binding/Garb of the Ephemeral to the recommended merc item list.

Looking at your gear, you seem to have already crafted several items correctly.

What exactly do you not understand about the helical ring craft?
I thought I'd write a little update on my character.

I have about 110 hours in, and have put in about 30 div into my gear. No helical ring or simplex yet, nor does it seem cost effective to 20q all of my gems. Feel free to make suggestions, though. (Ya, I know I need to anoint whispers of doom. I'm a bit short of currency at the moment after getting my forbidden jewels. And blanketed snow isn't all that much better than widespread destruction, so I'm deferring that upgrade until later.)

A couple questions:

1. What's the expected number of tailoring orbs I'd need to use to get the 8% defense modifier? I'm not worried about 5 linking again should the orb break links. I'm assuming I cannot brick the chest with tailoring orbs. Sadly, craftofexile doesn't support tailoring orbs.

2. I've used three farming strats, two somewhat successful as you can see. I'd be interested to read what people have been doing to compare. Note I have all four voidstones and 6 map device slots.

A. Essence/Harvest/Betrayal. The harvest is used to pay for rerolling the essences. Betrayal is a crappy time sink and I gave up on it after about 15 safehouses with just one valuable allflame and no other useful loot. I did use the posted betrayal guides as a suggestion. It takes me 7 minutes per map to clear T6-T9; the harvest takes 2 minutes of that. So it's about 1-1.5 div/hour.

B. Stacked Decks/Harvest. The harvest pays for the scarabs, so there's no net cost. I get about 50% pack size and drop 0.5 div per map consistently. The exp is great also. Cyclone is the key; the build is just about perfect for this. Maps are rolled to at least 25% pack size. Note: the T16.5 maps are great for this. This is about 2 div/hour. Also note: your merc will die. Takes about 12 minutes per map, 2 mins in harvest, and maybe 2 mins picking up stuff.

C. Ambush/Harvest. Harvest pays for the scarabs. I don't know; everyone says this is great but maybe the variance is just too high. So far I've gotten well under 1 div/hour. Yes, I am using 20q T16 rare maps with 6+ mods (rerolling with chaos.)

I've found no high value loot at all. Just 4 dropped divs, 1 div from a merc, and a couple of busted crafts I was able to sell at a 1-2 div profit. So slow but steady. Is that everyone else's result also?

I'm avoiding T17 maps for now but maybe I shouldn't. It's just annoying getting them, whereas the T16/T16.5's are nicely available.
