I believe that the low graphic option can increase the number of players

I would consider it a necessity to be honest. I would guess alot of people with laptops will have problems. And summer is on its way as well it means even more heating

They will do this, but no one knows when.

It could be something specific in how PoE graphics are handled by your GPU. There are some instruction sets that can generate heat, while not fully stressing the capability of the architecture. If that's the case, I'd figure more people would be mentioning it. What happens if you adjust your GPU fan profile statically to 100%?

Have you removed Asus ROG/GameFirst yet?
Just wanted to chime in here. Over last summer when I was playing PoE quite regularly I had the same issues. Its like the graphics are so raw and uncompressed that I overheat as well. I play skyrim, smite and other CPU intensive games (well... did) quite often. yes, its on my laptop, its a decent machine nothing fancy but by no means old:

quad core llano a6-3410mx overclocked and undervolted (1.6 to 2.6-8), 8gb of ram, win 8 etc....

Should run it decently but this is crippling. Additional graphics settings would be great, however I *hope* the game will be optimized later on to run on lower spec'd hardware. 3

Just wanted to let you know that there ARE others having this issue whether they report it or not. My friend I gave a beta to experiences the same as well.

Nice necro, have you actually played the game since the summer? My laptop runs PoE MUCH better now than it did during the summer, so there have been some optimizations since then.
If you take off post processing, lower textures and anti aliasing you will notice a huge difference.
