Can't really go wrong with how to level tbh. I would say in the lower levels to do more traveling along the tree than going deep into clusters.

I would say to grab Dervish just south of the starting point. Then go for Born to Fight. From there, can either keep grabbing nodes on the left side of the tree, waiting on the jewel slots, or can start to go to the right side, as well as south. Which ever way to go, focus on clusters that include the block chance, as well as damage.

So, I currently made some sort of axe dual wield hybrid partially based on your build, but investing points on axe skills and a few others more on the offensive side. I am currently on level 85, so I am wondering...WHEN should I bother trying to get better gear? Like when I finish the atlas quest line and syndicate quest line?

That entirely depends on you. If you're happy with what you have then keep going. The only advice I can give you is to upgrade all (or most) of your gear at the same time. Don't make incremental changes.

You can check my current gear at the page, but the idea is to eventually get stronger axes and rings/amulets I just dunno when or how. I think I only got my hands on a single shaper ring recently via drop as I am still trying to finish the Atlas missions (encounter and defeat the elderslayers) so I am not too sure what direction to go there. I also messed up and wasn't aware I had to make sure a specific member of the Syndicate had to be on the research part before raiding as I went in blind on that one instead of searching the rewards.

But I at least made sure to enchant my pendant with Gemini for now considering the necklace has decent stats (with bonus %hp as well) and I am lacking ways to get more block for now. So I would say the main issue is surviving safely as there are some fights that do get pretty nasty if I don't get enough block stacked via the passive even with the high res I am rocking with (capped cold and lightening at the moment I think).

So even if I upgrade everything at the same time -when- should I do that? Like after I make sure to clear the other pending missions and have easier access to shaper/elder stuff?

Also a question related to the amulet upgrade, as eventually the syndicate will reset and I will make sure to do the right thing this time around; if I upgrade my amulet, will it lose its current stats and effects or will it just boost its current stats?

It's pretty annoying when people tell you to check their gear and they have their characters hidden. When you ask someone for help the least you can do is check your privacy settings.

In any case you have a different build so I can't help much. Upgrade when you have enough money to buy something that really makes a difference.

I'm not sure what you mean by "upgrade my amulet". If you're talking about turning it into a talisman then the only thing that will change is the implicit and of course it will be corrupted.

I honestly didn't even know about the hidden character part, honest dude. I had been playing this game for like two weeks by now and didn't tinker much with the forums part so my bad there. I will look on the configurations to switch that.

While it is in fact a different build, some of the objectives are kinda the same, like trying to get block on some rare axes. So I would imagine that means looking for level 80 gear. I take it people sell "base" weapons on the market? Like shaper/elder weapons in general, not specifically just axes.

And yeah, I meant turning the amulet into a talisman. I wasn't sure if it was going to just add an implicit or like fully change all the sufixes it currently has.
