You need to understand how to scale the damage though and probably be pretty late in the gearing progression. I've followed this guide in Hesit league and had lots of fun. Now I'd like to revive the char (Glamdring_the_trickster, lvl 93) to play with a friend who only plays standard league. However, parts of the skill tree have been reset and obviously there have been big changes. Is there any buil that I could try to swing towards where I can at least use most of my items? The biggest buff will be 6% cast speed per spell used recently mastery. Essence drain1, contagion2, curse3, frost shield4, blight5, vaal blight6(not sure if vaal counts as a separate spell. So realistically we get 24%-36% cast speed just for playing the build as you normally would. All for 1 mastery which through trickster gives us 3% more damage as is. Blight is getting a duration nerf but a damage buff, we'll see how that evens out. Probably will be less blight damage overall with low gear and more damage with good gear. 35% withered effect is getting nerfed to 20%. This obviously hurts, but isn't devastating or anything. Arcane surge is getting some interesting changes. I already was a fan of using a max level arcane surge in the blight setup until I got the duration for quick affliction, but it looks like it will be even better using a max level arcane surge. Hope to see more people dotting things up this league, I figured someone somewhere would mention how solid this build is, but it doesn't look like it and I got downvoted for saying I think EDC trickster is good on reddit. shrug Thanks for the infos, never played it as CI with wand+shield, this looks solid!
