Map drops are random, right? Right?

Nah, I don't think so, and this is from a whole day, mapping:



That - is not random. And after about half an hour "trading", I managed to amass a whooping three maps... THREE! Literally from hundreds of tries. No hyperbole, that is 100% correct data. Meanwhile I decided to off the ones I have (after the above picture was taken) and I get (as of this writing) one trade inquiry every 10 seconds, so nothing's broken in that respect.

Yeaaah... there is no such thing. I know people over at the Diablo forums theorise about different servers having different drop rates, but, no - no, they don't. Not there, not here.

Right... it's been six hours since I made this topic and had 27 completed maps. Guess how many I have now? That's right; TWENTY SEVEN! And I'm not making this up, not one new map has dropped in that time. I have dozens of the ones I have already completed, so maps drop, but why no new ones?!

This is beginning to piss me off, what the fuck is going on? Why have 20 Dungeon maps dropped, but not one, single Arid Lake?!? Something is broken, I have never, ever witnessed anything like this, not even close.

Oh, and another Peninsula. What fun... And trading for them - forget it, it ain't happening. Missing Desert, made, oh, what 30 queries. Got zero responses.

Well, I guess I go play something else, because this isn't working. I'm not progressing, nothing's happening.

You're doing something wrong? Hard to say what, since I can't see your side of the computer screen. Got 60+ completed maps, and the only reason I bought one (1) was to get a red tier mandatory Pantheon bonus for my build.

You should google atlas progression. It looks like you don't understand how it works. You can't just drop any map from anywhere.

Map drops are not random, most maps drop from connected maps. Maps can technically drop anywhere provided they don’t violate the tier ruling but you don’t get maps from the right side of the atlas dropping if you’re running maps on the left side,

In this case, everything is working as intended. As was said above, google atlas completion and take a crash course on how all this stuff works before throwing a temper tantrum. Then you won’t look so dumb...

its funny because all I get droppped is Arid Lake and NO dungeon or ANY other maps lol.

Always Arid Lake, Atoll and Iceberg.

Check how the branches connect in the atlas and run the correct maps instead of whining and coming up with bs theories.
