The State of Breaches in maps.

Look maybe they needed nerfed a bit but not to the point that they are now. 1-2 splinters more commonly NONE is overkill. Maybe should have just deleted them from the game. From what I noticed in Temple it's the same thing. Why send 3 entries shaping a room to get 4 splinters its a waste of time. I've done this on fast and slow toons good and middle of the road clear speeds and its the same story.

I agree. Been playing only 1 char for almost a month now, like 6-8 hrs / day on avg. 57 Chayula splinters..

I think GGG need to reconsider how they keep past league mechanics in the game. Not too happy with abysses, either.

The game gets so fragmented and we get a little piece of everything, enough of nothing apart from current league content.

GGG has a track record of going too far in extremes of nerfs and buffs. Seems too hard or too soft is the norm and GGG can't find the "just right" level for many game mechanics. I'm not quite sure why GGG has such a hard time balancing their game other than they just are always too short on time to test with their aggressive 3 month challenge league schedule.

Right now in Incursion League the buffs to traps make arc-trapper saboteur super powerful. Where many post that the incursion timer is way too short for their non-meta build and then I play the meta arc-trapper (as a 2nd build, my first build Frost Bolt totem Hierophant nicely wipes out mobs/bosses very well but is too slow for incursions) and with the trap mechanic changes the chain reaction effect of arc-cluster traps can wipe out the incursion mobs super fast. Add the new op Flamethrower trap to kill architects and rares fast and it's routine to run the timer up over 30 seconds and full clear all rooms. My arc-trapper saboteur is at 82 and I'm just getting to red maps so I'll see if the mob chain killing goodness continues to work.

But getting back on topic, I was never able to play Breach League as the breach graphics mechanics crushed my little old AMD gpu (single digit frame rates and then "you are dead" every time). So today with an Nvidia 1060 AMP! gpu breaches are nicely playable and easily survivable with my Arc-Flamethrower trapper. Now GGG has nerfed breach spawn chances so I rarely ever find one (same for abysses). So during Breach League everyone who could play it said it was a loot pinata league. So GGG does what they do best and whipped out their nerf hammer and killed our chances of finding one now. Same for abysses and come Incursion League end Alva encounters will be nerfed into the ground too. GGG seems all too eager to nerf "fun to play" right out of PoE by super nerfing spawn rates.
"You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

Absolutely agree. I've had around 15 raw exalt drops this league, run plenty of maps with the breach sextant, selected the breach architect quite often, and without ever selling my chayula splinters, I have 37 total. Breaches feel like shit now, even running a six person party with 85 iiq.
There's no powercreep here. Creep implies it's slow and could be overlooked, this is a full out sprint.
the game is over saturated with previous league mechanics. we need a purge. take out things like strongboxes, tormented spirits, rogue exiles, shrines etc - as in the % chance to show up in a map. can keep them in other areas like map mods and such.

for the base areas themselves they should have abyss, breach, harbingers, essence and perandus. each with a 20% chance to show, so essentially you get one per map but can't double up.

something like that. i don't know the exact solution, but i know the problem that its just over saturated.

To be fair that was about how many chayula splinters people had in breach league itself with that playtime ;) hell half the time you'd get a chayula breach with literally zero rares.

I would have loved it if they made the breachstone card farmable but it really isn't its most of a keep playing and you'll get a freebie occasionally.

good thing they didn't nerf splinter drops at all then.
Yeah they didn't touch splinters at all what they did was DESTROY the shit that dropped in terms of items they don't drop usually nothing most of the time.

And ur like WHO THE FUCK IS GOING TO PAY 6C for a zana mod OMEGALUL

My friend has found 10 times more Midnight fragments than Dusk fragments (That's actually a serious comment). Why did GGG nerf Dusk drops?

Maybe they should delete Atziri from the game.
Thanks for all the fish!

I think you're exaggerating :) . I also have to mention I only completed 1 Uul-Netohl breachstone in that amount of playing time whereas in Breach I completed the same stone in less than a week.

Anyway, the main point is the game gets really fragmented with all those bits and pieces here and there :/
