This thread is filled with salty people who quit the league, calling it "dead", yet I see more activity in PoE than ever. And the Steam stats give me reason to believe so. Path is at a huge peak currently, and whoever says it's "dying" is probably only wanting to believe that themselves. You have no evidence backing that up, only your very own personal saltyness.

GGG is not working at incursion anymore.
GGG forums are quiet, except for the usual troll thread like this one here.
1 Month race was just announced.
Shareholders sold their stakes to a Chinese investor.

This league has not worked well with the majority of people, that is a fact. GGG has to do something now, we can just hope they will do the right thing because the game has been awesome in the past up to legacy if we ignore Breach for a second, but even that one time speed meta league, was ok as long it was just once.

But since then, we had three further speed meta leagues, people are just tired about that and because of that, the numbers are going down.

Funny you're saying that after GGG just released a news article for the upcoming Incursion patch.

The majority of people really enjoy the league. It's only a couple of always-whineys who spam the forum with their bullshit that back up your claims. The rest is simply playing the game.

Listen for a second: it's okay that you do not enjoy the league concept. Can't please everyone after all. But please take your shit elsewhere and let the rest enjoy the game. :-)

Every league the inflation on currency has gone up faster and faster, perhaps because botting has become more and more the norm / easy for many players to get rich fast. For me it kills the enjoyment of playing - knowing some turd made 100ex watchin netflix makes the playing field uneven. So it's either for me to start botting, or quit playing. Would be nice if GGG gave a statement on how much impact botting actually had on the economy, and how many percent of the players do it.

well you can check it with poe.ninja pre ban wave was ex : chaos 180:1 after ban wave 130:1 ...

so yeah botter have a RLY HUGE impact in these days

I've always found it interesting that GGG 1) has a rule against "naming and shaming", and, 2) gives people the "Banned" title. Now, you could say they're trying to prevent spurious allegations - and fair enough - but what happens when someone launches a successful appeal after being banned? Either you're in favour of these things being confidential or you're not.

Did this ban wave include Pickit or just bots?

In fairness I can see some of the reason they do it, people could throw out all kinds of false allegations. But as a new player and noticing all the spam for RMT in global chat and seeing reports of people getting scammed, it does not look good that the company seems to be protecting the guilty.

This whole episode and the clearly big problem the game has with bots, is a pretty solid argument in favour of their approach towards not having an auction house, though. If all these bots could just auto-sell all their pickups without a human middle man (or woman), the problem would most likely be much bigger, and the rewards for bots bigger too.

How do these bots work anyway? Is it completely automated, so basically a script can make a character run around in the game, do quests, not die too frequently and pick up the valuable loot?

Just glad a bunch of them got taken out, and hope GGG continues to do it.

They don't protect the guilty. RMT is simply out of their means. Most sites run in countries that would require considerable resources to shut down or simply operate outside of their laws, without any means to enforce them. They are also hard to rip out, root and stem. But I'm sure they do try their best given their means.

The naming and shaming is standard protocol across games in general. Small or large outfit, every single gaming company on the planet operates under this agreed upon TOS. There are always negative consequences, but the good ones always win out. The gaming community as a whole is not particularly that impressive, intellectually. It's best to leave accusations at the door for fear of persecuting innocent people. GGG runs their own internal investigation with regards to RMT or misconduct.

And as for having the banned titled slapped onto your account, there is some justification for this. GGG has come to this decision. It's not open to interpretation nor is it an accusation. And they did this with some semblance of reasoning and evidence. It's not shaming anyone, it's simply stating a fact. And that's precisely why naming and shaming is prohibited by players. They are not the entity tasked to govern other players. They can present their facts to GGG, that's it. Anything outside of that is grossly open to abuse. That's why locking up an innocent person is considered the greatest sin in law and justice.

To mi ist kinda funny that on this forum serious tipocs are banned and remowed. If You try to talk about something serious then everything gets deleted or censored because all know pretending the problem doesnt exists makes problem dissapear.

Nice of them to implicitly (and correctly) call themselves cheaters. Good riddance. Hope it doesn't pop up again soon after a change of skin.
