IS 6 LINK POSSIBLE?

Getting a 6-link is a goal.

I never failed to get it once i decided i want one and i fuse everything myself, never used voirici and never traded for a 6-link ever.

Sometimes it takes 500 fuses, sometimes 3000 but it's just a grind goal.

I'd say 95% of the builds in nowadays PoE could kill all in-game content with a 5-link anyway, so a 6-link is just a cherry.

Across several leagues and probably a total of ~10-20k fusings, I have yet to six link an item myself.

Nor have I seen the Fated Connections prophecy myself, despite regularly plugging silver tokens into the Navali arcade.


If I feel like I need a 6-link, I trade for it. I still try here and there when I build up a bunch of fusings, but it really hasn't worked out. I'm well behind the RNG curve for it though. I keep trying because I would like the achievement.

I've been burned on fusings just trying to 4L a 4S helmet, gloves or boots. It's actually not economical at all to try and 4L something. 4L doesn't cost any extra over no links. 5L or 6L is even less economical to try and roll.

I honestly like my odds better for getting OKish rolls by chaos spamming a 6L item that dropped. It's not that hard to roll HP and a couple resists on an armor piece for example. Getting a 6L item to drop is probably about as rare as seeing an exalted orb drop. Maybe more. But I've seen a few of them drop. None of them were particularly good base items, but I remember slamming about 10C on one of them and got 80HP and 30-35 resists in 3 resists. Still beats using a Tabula Rasa. This was before you could craft mods on gear. This was like a long, long time ago.

Fusings are just a currency orb for me. I don't even use them anymore. I prefer to just buy the items already linked.

You do realize that Vorici at level 3 will 4 link any 4 socket item for 5 fusing right? Why would you ever need to spam to link a 4 socket item like gloves, boots, or helm?

I would never pay Vorici but know it is in fact a gamble and individual results may vary...

Im currently sitting at 13 6Ls for the league. The lowest i used was like 17 Fuse on my Vis chest and the most i used was 2700-2800... But that was only one chest and the lowest after that was around 400-500. My average this league is around 250-400.

Now if you are a player who doesn't have lots of currency to risk like i do. Because make no mistake i only have those kinda numbers to show because i had currency to spare and RISK!!! And again on one chest i absolutely lost my ass HARD. Had i needed that chest for my build and didnt have extra currency in the pocket that would have been really bad. And it happens.

But anyway something you can do to work on 6Ling an item and recouping most of your currency as you go. Simply buy the item you want to link, and always check for 6S versions pricing as well as no sockets pricing.. If you can pickup a 6S of the item you wish to link cheap then do that. This can saving you Jewelrs which can be used for more linking. But at this point take your time dont spam the fuse. Fuse the item till you hit a 5L.. Sell the item. Most 5Ls go anywhere from 35-50C. Depending of course on the item and in alot of cases the roll. For example if your trying to link a Carcass Jack.. You will probably be better off paying say 3-5C even 10-15C if its 6S already if it has really good life and area damage rolls.. than you will be buying the cheapest shit roll for 1 alc Because then when you 5L it not only brings more value but it MUCH easier to sell. The well rolls 5L maybe bring 50C while the shit roll wont even sell for 25-30c.

But you can keep doing this till you hit your 6L and this helps alot with keeping it going for much cheaper if your smart and do it right.

I mean its all RNG but 5L hit so easy that this method is something i use ALOT early league and its quite effective. Especially early league when some of those 5L items will go for much more than 40-50C.. But this late in the league its still something you can do to help mitigate so much cost. Early league it can actually be profitable in some case depending on the item and its rolls.

Last league i 6 linked 4 items, 1 with 1 fusing. This league however...4789 fusings, 26 5-links, zero 6-link. Fuk this.

4800 fuses spent this league and no 6l. Not kidding. Quit the game coz of boredom

Honestly just buy one that is already 6 linked. Let someone else gamble on it. Most of the time you will pay the lowest price for one that is already 6 linked. Unless you are playing SSF. In that case use vorici so you don't get screwed even though it is worse over time.
