Well to me it turned out that SSF is not as cool as I expected since there are backdoors to go back into standard. I want it to be more punishing.

So, because SSF was not hardcore enough for you, you chose to play the easier option?

Righto.

I wish people would just say what they mean, that they wouldnt enjoy SSF because of "x reason" be it that you cant make specific builds, be it that you can be incredibly currency starved, be it whatever else.

But please dont make up bullshit reasons that are a thin veiled insult towards everyone playing that mode. You dont need to justify your actions, it is a game, play what you enjoy.

Sorry to have sounded offensive then. It really was not on purpose.

Really never knew that option to transfer things out of SSF.

Its there, two additional buttons - leftsides to you ssf chars - you see every time you start your char (even if you may not notice it).

In fact knowing that made me completely lose interest about trying SSF. I want to try SSF because it feels like being punished by all those who begged for SSF league all these while.

Punished by others? It only challenges you by the fact that you are on your own with no access to 'external sources' of gear (cheap or not). And it "rewards" you with the competition against (all) others with the same mindset, and the exactly same conditions: they use what they own. If you not go for this competition, then its either only a selfcheck, or without any reason. (which also is 'legit')

The fact that you can opt-out your char(s) from SSF, doesnt have any influence on the SSF leagues itself (it not even removes you from your ranking there, just like a dead HC char - which I find a bit strange). And on the other hand, it just opens up SSF to a much wider audience for a try, which IMHO was both a good and a neccessary decision.

My first mirror, I would keep.

This. Especially since the mirrored item doesnt prove anything.
For thinking about the second one, two have still to come... ^^

Yeah I would totally keep it just to fill in that lonely box on my Currency tab.

But, someone early suggested it, I would totally mirror a nice high ES chest, if I ever managed to craft or find one. I maxxed out at 750 last league, I don't think I've topped 550 yet this league.
I would keep it because at some point they might introduce a decent trading system. I have always played SSF just because I don't like the current trade system.

You could hire someone to watch over you while you are playing who would beat you with a big stick everytime you got hit in game.

Plus they could give you a severe beating if you ever went near the convert to standard button.
Is this possible?...

Create a second SSF character, transfer the mirror to their inventory, drop that character from SSF. Still have original character in SSF, and now have a mirror that's worth a lot in the economy of the associated non-SSF league.

What if the option for others in the same league as me to have the backdoor to retire into standard affects my happiness and enjoyment of SSF as well? I want the entire league to have no option to quit what they signed up for.

However weird this sounds, I am sure I am not the only one with this desire.
Mirrors have a different value in SSF because you might even use it on random build defining multiple uniques/jewels that you might not come across again for months.
Is this a 'if a tree falls in the woods and nobody is there to hear it' type of question?
