Gruthkul's Pelt
I m level 78 in HC and use this chest.
At level 78 and 5.5k life I also get 750 life regen!(coupled with the new meginord+shaper seed). At level 90 and 7k life I ll probably get 1k life regen wich is something you get having a kaom heart and 10 more levels or a leg kaom. I say the chest is great of totem builds or facebreakers, shit for other melee style. " Yeah, a level 38 belly would beat it out. I don't think you can get anything significantly better for a straight phys attacker at that point, just slap the thing on and don't worry about a thing until merciless. If I changed anything about the chest it would just be transferring it to soldier's brigandine to be available earlier. Levels 30-ish is where you usually consider getting some levelling gear. " It just my perspective of having widely available gears already. In the case for SSF, if this happens to drop on you at the start of midgame, and your best chest is has some life and stuff and you are relying on purity to keep your resistances from being atrocious, is it worth the trade off? Imagine getting Tabula Rasa before hand......yea not too sure. Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game. - raics, 06.08.2016 Dernière édition par JohnNamikaze#6516, le 22 mars 2017 à 06:22:49

Right, it's probably just me then, I'm trying not to use Tabula unless it's absolutely necessary.
The chest does offer a lot at that point in the game, maybe it's just the clunky way in which gear upgrades are handled during levelling, gem sockets are the most important thing on your gear and you don't have the resources to tamper with them or you just don't want to waste them so we prefer alching 4L whites. Tabby is at least as much quality of life as it is raw power. I feel like a good replacement for "Your Spells are disabled." would be "Your blue gems are disabled."
Instantly cut off blasphemy and curse on hit gems, pretty much all direct damage spells that aren't Ethereal Knives, Bladefall or Blade Vortex (which is fine), almost half of the auras and most spell/elemental supports. Really the only thing this hurts is disallowing crit support gems. Trade off is allowing the chest a little more freedom with mana and still keeping to its man mode physical builds only theme by allowing all green and red gems. |

It is not just crit :P
Area modifiers are blue, some of the auras are blue and basically every offensive curse is blue. This chest is either meant to be a leveling item, as which it is decent, but it competes with stuff like Tabula or even something like Fox Shade, which provides one of the best stats early on, Movespeed. Before late cruel survivability is not really an issue. Or the other option is it is meant to be some build enabling unique which again is something it doesn't quite manage to do. It would need some bigger benefits to be worth the sacrifice even as a leveling item. Because people might not go for bloodmagic just to use that item while leveling and reskill it later and without bloodmagic most of the benefits are gone. Removing the inability to use spells would be the best way, because I feel it is enough for them to not deal damage. And you could still punish players with other things like increased mana reservation if you want to push them away from auras, but than again the benefit is not good enough for that. People shouldn't forget that Belly is just a few levels higher. Dernière édition par Emphasy#0545, le 25 mars 2017 à 12:21:58

Anybody tried to use it with new MoM? if you have no mana reserved, it should give you quite good EHP.
At least in theory. "War's over, soldier. You just don't know it yet. Everybody lost."
