Gruthkul's Pelt
Can somebody explain to me what is the synergy between this armour and BM?
You are not using mana anyway for auras or something (so you do have plenty of mana), so why you want to use life to use skills? "War's over, soldier. You just don't know it yet. Everybody lost."

" You don't have to invest in mana and you get 2% regen from the chest, meaning you'll probably have good time sustaining your casting from regen alone. Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.
Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge. | |
" This does not convince me. You use mana only for skills, even with the higher cost (from 5 supports) it should be enough anyways (maybe with one mana leech none). For me, it is unnecessary hurting life pool (especially with instagibs what we can see in PoE). Stupid risk is simply stupid. Oh well thanks for explanation anyway "War's over, soldier. You just don't know it yet. Everybody lost."

" Except that your life pool will necessarily be bigger because of the large increased maximum life nodes behind Blood Magic o_O Need game info? Check out the Wiki at: https://www.poewiki.net/

" There's no synergy. It's more like this: "If I really want to wear this and cannot use auras because of it, I may as well take the BM keystone for the strong life nodes behind it." --- I like Gruthkul's Pelt, but the lack of defenses kills it. Should have had at least 500 armor/evasion to make it usable for me. Even with 1500 Armor, it would still be a tough choice and very situational. 3.5 build: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2299519

Just throwing in my thoughts on this unique here - don't forget that bloodsplosion gladiators can seriously take advantage of that pure phys damage. Also, yes, warcries work, and even though the Curse on Hit support gem does not work, Witchfire Brew does, as do corrupted implicit curse on hits, and other items like Asenath's Gentle Touch. With Blood Magic, MoM, and some leech, I think this unique could work out pretty well for its niche.
(2-3-2019) Buff underused skills (3.23?!)+ selfcast, stop nerfing defense, build in threshold jewels (3.23?!), implement D3-style looting, add death log + MTX preview, actually rework flasks, stop balancing around the .01%, unnerf Harvest, ADD NEW WAYS TO LEVEL, finally implement Loot 2.0

" Yeah but even then... Vulnerability provides more damage than the increased phys on the chest and Belly might provide more life as well. Not to mention that Bloodmagic is mostly bad because you lack hatred although with Blood magic you can at least use Essence Worm for Hatred, you cannot do that here. Right now I don't see a good use with it. Melee builds already stack tons of increased damage anyway due to Strength and the high amount you get from your nodes. My Cycloner has about 400% increased damage already, which means those chest only gives him 20% more damage if it is perfectly rolled and that is not worth sacrificing Hatred + one Defensive Aura/Buff, Bloodrage, Curses and Immortal Call, not to mention how valuable Vortex is to use Hypothermia as another multiplier (and Hatred in most non-boss cases). Just imagine Ancestral Bond would not allow you to use non-totem skills instead of not allowing them to deal damage (technically not even that, because traps still deal damage). It would be terrible. The chest is good for leveling before you have high amounts of increased damage, but after that the chest is pretty meah. |

" For all the effort it is trying to make, Belly of the Beast easily beats it out. Yea, 100% increase physical damage is nice to compensate from not having Hatred or Herald of Ash work along with AA or Enfeeble too. Imagine getting the lowest possible physical damage roll on it, that would be such a good trade off, for the couple massive drawbacks it has.
