Sorry but i can't agree with you

i tried a lot bv + cd but i prefer ab and culling strike

the goal of a juggernaut is a good balance between attack and defence
we have enough dps for quick clearing maps
most challenging:
- shaper, elder, sirus (can be slowed)
- some map bosses and metamorph bosses (mostly can be slowed)

These fights can be tought and are mostly single target fights and survivability is the most important

- the perma 10% slowing is a huge advantage in these fights
- culling strike = 10% dps ( i tried cs on leap slam and bv + cd but not playable)
- what about elemental overload with cd on mjolner and cyclone ? (40 % less dmg)

you must use cd because of critics

You have to wait for stacking before to reach full hit rate (<> short-lived attacks on bosses)

bv is better with multiple mobs (more hits) but loose his advantage vs single targets and short-lived attacks

i know critics x 2 but (5% -> 10 % for cyclone) when you are affected by dmg > 1000 , it's time for defence, not dps

1) 6% life regen
2) less power charges (less dps) but more endurance charges (voll's devotion) and more defence

Yes, 7.5\sec. You can look into PoB or do your own calc with new data (from gem), hit time - 0.6 + 35% hit rate for each stack.
Downside - need to wait around 3.5 sec for reaching max stacks.
Btw, romiras can't give more than 1 charge for non-crit hit what against a single target what against several.


Less PC = less EC coz you get them 1to1 with a chance to getting cap.

1) if you use bv + cd on top of cyclone, you can not use cd in mjolner (you need crit for elemental overload)

- with cd on top of cyclone/bv you can use elemental focus in mjolner (5 % more dmg) and u have crits from discharge 5% -> 7 hits/sec vs 5% -> 10 hits/sec (cyclone + ab)
- on the other hand you cannot use culling strike on top of cyclone (10 % dps + 2 free as raws on jewels coz 10 % as from culling strike)
- you can use culling strike with vortex if u find gloves with elemental weakness on hit (not easy) and - 31% res vs - 45% res (lvl 12 vs lvl 21) from elemental weakness on top of vortex but in this case you could also use the free socket in kingsguard for ics (physical dmg mitigation)

2) bv yes 7.5/sec with 10 stacks vs ab you reach the same amount of hits after 2.5- 3 sec (before 2.5 sec bs has generated more hits) and you don't stay on top of sirus or the shaper for a long time ... alive (short-lived attacks as i explained)

3) consecrated ground from pf
- overall less charges but less power charges and more endurance charges (my calculation -> +- same level endurance charges than without pf)
ratio is 1:1 of course but proportion endurance charges higher (when you loose 5 pc you get 5 ec)
- 6% life regen allows you to continue using rf more easily despite the damage received
- i could use enfeeble in place but effectiveness very low on bosses.

4) we could use cd/bv on top of cyclone and replace lgoh by culling strike. Viable ? i don't know, i gonna make some trials

5) i think bv/cd and ab/cs are both viable

6) i gonna try infused annointment on voll's devotion (vs 1 jewel and 1 node)

1) Still cant change cd -> ef in mjoln. Less crit = more charges, for EO we have bv (each stack = 10% inc crit => 10 stacks = 6% crit + a little crit on tree)
2) Base hit\sec for bv = 1/0.6 ~1.66 => 3/1.66 ~ 1.8 (up to 2 stacks) for similar hit frequenciesc
3) You can use WoC + Combustion => -45% fire res with and -25% w\0 ignite

Glad to see people still play this build, was my favorite in abyss and beastiary leagues and ran it in between in standard aswell.

14% cdr and 7.5 APS are enough.

I make my personal Mjolner for Guardian and i show here, i think is very good =)
