Well I'll post seriously now, even though it is a wasted effort.

People saying this is not part of lore and low effort that takes inspiration from world.

I ask you this, shaper, before he went mad and zana was a child. He was talking about inquisition, that raided homes every night and was looking for clues. People who were taken were never found. Inquisitors also used it to remove persons they didn't like, just like shaper was on the verge of unwanted people.

Well what does that remind you of? Answer is christian inquisition. Didn't see anyone complain how not original that was.

Next up we have many maps, items and references to MtG, not original again, low effort?

Lore story of Witch character, sounds familiar? Must be low effort and not original by forum whiner criteria.

Act 2, ruined temple, atziri, vaal nation and vaal themed items and jewels. Compare their art and lore to Inca/Aztecs? Must be another low effort from devs it seems.

Numerous uniques are based on mankinds existing artifacts too, must be some low effort.

Theopolis and grand arena? Aquaducts? Romans? Don't you say? What have I been playing for years now, this isn't true how unoriginal this game is.

Bowels of the beast? Don't tell me we got H R Giger artwork made of flesh?

We got pirates in game? PIRATES? What travesty is this, we all know this is not pirate themed game.

Karui people pantheon? Think really hard, I won't tell this one.

And the worst of all, none of the weapons your character equips, are not original, they've been taken from whole history and integrated into game, almost no original weapons.

As you can see, what devs and game story writers think befits lore it will be so. Crying that you don't like the aesthetic of new content, won't make money spent into developing it come back.

It totally fits the lore, regardless of inspiration. Wraeclast is dark world, and it should be unforgivable and careless about feelings. I know a safe game called Club Penguin. I hope they go even further, as they mirror our reality in game microcosm.
