Frenzul, "shiny things" includes wings, footprints, armor, whatever else you can think of that is composed of pixels. I am clarifying because it seems obvious that you read, but you do not understand.

You're right. I don't understand why you feel so entitled.. because you got a lot for your money already.

Do you honestly think that getting some ingame skins to make your character look pretty is "getting a lot for your money"? Because thats like donating blood to the red cross because you get a cookie, and not because you want to help people.

Now in regards to the xbone issue... eh. lets see what happens. Spend what i thought was a fair price for the game and thats about it and i got my moneys worth sofar trough my playtime alone.
Imagine being a 10 year old boy again, you happen to grab Poe at the local Wallmart or download it whatever. Your parents don't keep a pc in the house but you happen to have an xbox. Maybe you have seen the game trailer at a friends house and it sucked you right in. Should that boy be denied? I support GGG's decision.

The idea that purchasing a supporter pack somehow entitles you to outrage over business decisions is comical at best... Y'all acting like investors who hold some stake in GGG, when really you bought in-game-micro-transactions... Give me a break. Also, I find it ironic that the guy who has spent more than any of us, probably, is the one looking at it from the most realistic and level-headed perspective.

You are what's known as a useful idiot.

Excuse me?

You heard me well, dipshit. You are what's known as a useful idiot.

How the fuck can spending resources on another project be more beneficial to the pc version than spending said resources only on pc version.

That's some fucked up accounting skills you have there.

Unless you are from the future and you know they will make loads of profit on xbox and then invest it in the pc game.

If it weren't for "another project" we would likely not have personal computers at the same stage we do now. The PC itself was just "another project" for a very successful business machine company (IBM) at one time:

Yes, there were other companies making kits and versions earlier, but it was IBM's side project that really kicked things off.

No business of yours how they run the company you're not an investor youre a client/customer. They don't owe laying out their business plan to you.

And when companies do things people don't like, people let them know. How is this any different?
Its fine if he tells GGG he doesn't like the console port. But he WASN'T scammed, and he needs to get some serious help if he believes he was.

IBM made the mistake of going to Bill Gates/Microsoft for their OS, and they basically gave away the keys to the kingdom.

Wow, your analogy backfired.

Are you living on the same planet as i am?

What sort of WHAT IF! story even is that? What kind of parent would have an xbox in the house but not a PC, a machine which is used for much much more than just gaming and can cost the same as an xbox.

Some people use weak PC's or laptops just for general surfing. Can't really play PoE on that.

Even if there were parents like that (let alone that I doubt a 10 year old should play PoE) it irrelevant, since by this logic there would need to be a Mac port (I think more families might only have iThings than only an xbone), possibly even a port to tablets (so android and iOS), Linux, PS4, and whatever Nintendo has.
There also needs to be a pen&paper port, btw.

@DalaiLama
I usually love you posts, but your IBM analogy is missing some ogy, as are KFC or other business analogies I've seen so far.
They are not just a company that grows and explores new fields to grow in. They were a small indie company with a great vision of a game asking people not to purchase stuff, but asking people to support Path of Exile, which by then was a PC game. So people thought that supporting would mean keeping the game running (on PC) and improving it, paying the devs and other staff and so on.
As a customer (not supporter) of a company I don't expect to have any say into what new areas they might expand. But I'm also free to be upset (and decide not to buy from them anymore) if I find out that with the income they made from my purchases, that company suddenly started to produce, say, weapons (because there is a high demand and much money to be made, and the increased revenue might also benefit the development of the product I previously liked.

@Bone2Flesh (I think, might be mistaken and there might be others)
GGG did not announce the port. Linking that article from The Escapist is pathetic. First, they said they were seriously considering - which is not "Yep, definitely going console". Second, where if not on their own website would an official announcement be really that? It's bad enough that the PoE subreddit has been the actual source of PoE news for... since I can remember, but some online magazine I hadn't heard of before people started linking to that article is far from "announced".
Bye that logic they also announced a Mac port: https://www.pathofexile.com/faq#q9
