This thread is hilarious. Flipping items is a pretty common strategy. It is a *little* harder now that Ziggy taught all the peasants about the Woops and indexers with alerts.

I fail to see why the OP even thinks that this is bad behaviour.... if you have an item you sell it for a price. If you're not happy with the price, you don't sell it. Period. If you sell it for a price then you have agreed on it. Period.

Nobody forces the OP to sell at certain prices.

It's a bad behaviour because most people are trying to progress in this game by actually playing it BUT flippers are creating a bad experience for them by leeching off their hard earned currency by making it more expensive which equates to making them farm longer for their item.

Some people buys item to progress in this game doing harder content and yet there are some people who buys the items purely for resale to achieve more profits.

Same thing happened in Diablo 3 Auction House which is why DIABLO 3 removed it completely because of too many flippers.

By the way, I am just telling new players a better way to price their items correctly and if you are not happy then DON'T USE IT.

Simple.
YoursTruly, I know we disagree in this other highly entertaining thread of yours, but would you agree, then, that a kind of auction house, where you set your price and anyone willing to pay that price would get the item transferred to them could be a solution to that problem?
After all, if you tried to manipulate the market by setting a low price, you'd be in danger to actually lose your item to someone actually buying it.

Well GGG dont want to create AH, yet the game now runs like with AH, because POE.trade is nothing more than just (bot more annoying to use) AH.

Economy get screwed fast in games with such tools and turn the game inefficient in playing comparing to fliping.
GGG need to create restriction in order to protect noobs from being scammed. Usualy the best thing is to restrict amount of trades in some way. It wont protect from flipers, but will limit their uptime drasticaly, so impact they create on economy.

Personaly I would just create basic amount of traders per account (in ex. 5 daily) + additional per x min of playing the game (not siting still somewhere). This way people should actualy play the game if they want to trade aswell.

So? That's how the real world works. If there's a scarcity of items, you will find people that have a lot of those and sell it for more than you could get it through official channels. You want an item and you want it now and you're willing to pay a higher price.

Also the vice-versa is true. You want to sell an item and yuo want to sell it now. So you're willing to lower the price till somebody buys it.

As said, nobody forces you to buy/sell an item. In the end you and the other party agree on a price - so you're both happy. If you aren't happy with the price, then don't buy/sell it.

How can you get scammed?

Someone offers an item for x currency. You want the item. You're willing to pay x currency. Both parties are happy.

You want to sell an item for x currency. Soemone offers you y currency. Either you you accept y currency, you offer z currency a new or your insist on x currency.

Nobody's forced to buy/sell at certain prices.

That's a good idea too.

But, I would like to add this idea.

Lets say for example someone sold an item for like 5 exalted orb in POE trade.

Perhaps POE trade could implement a new rule that if if an item has been sold at a price, then the next time the buyer sells that item, it has to be fixed at that price.

In this case, the buyer/flipper could only sell back at 5ex.

That would discourage flipping.

I am not sure if it works though.

This doesn't make senses. In new leagues, a 5L item at the beginning is highly valuable because there are almost none. As the league progresses, 5L items become more and more available - hence they become cheaper.

Same with everything else. As more valuables appear, the more they lose value.

Oh you are back for more?

If you want the real world thingy, go back to your "real world".

This is a game not like stock investment.

A game meant to be enjoyed, so everyone deserves a chance to have a good playing experience which is why Diablo 3 removed the Auction house completely including the Real money Auction house as well as EVEN the GOLD Auction house (In game currency) because flippers just ruin player's playing experience.

And like I have said, you DONT have to embrace/like my idea in the initial post. IF you don't like it, then don't use it.

Simple
