Playing Path of Exile with OCD

I was just thinking you were going to talk about completely clearing zones. Which I have to do for some reason.

IF you equip the effect onto the character it does stop you from being able to delete it, as you currently can't delete a character with microtransaction effects on them, I haven't tried it but I am 99% sure you'll get an error when trying to delete it.

"Disallowed overwriting one cosmetic effect with another. If applying a cosmetic effect would destroy a different one, then you must reclaim the existing effect first by using the Reclaim button in the microtransaction stash.
Disallowed deleting characters that have cosmetic effects on their items. You must reclaim the effects first.
Prevented /destroy from destroying items with cosmetic effects applied.
You should now not be able to lose microtransaction effects in any way."

So I quess you can still delete the character... :/

Go see a doctor, not being able to play PoE is not your problem.

The only thing that can't be un-done or recovered from is the initial choosing of a class and name. Everything else about your character can be changed, given some effort.

EDIT: I take that back, there is a quest which you have to choose to get a passive point or a permanent buff.

I have moderate OCD, among other things. What has helped me is to find a build someone else has created for the class I chose, and simply copy it. I cannot delete that character, or play another character until i get to the end of act 3 merciless.

This way I cannot make a wrong choice when leveling, and can't start a new character until I am 'done' with the first one.

Copying other people's builds is for pussies and grandpas. Tailor something to your style. Once you get the mechanics down, you can fix it or re-roll.
