reddit "brought" me here.

1st week of awakening release it was "not good" but somewhere along the way it became better and i was kicking ass.

for the past week (or maybe longer) have been experiencing bad spikes. 100 ping jumps to 1000 for no reason.

nowadays i just login to abandon master quests

My experience has been fine on Singapore gateway(where I always play) since launch till about 15 hours ago. It was unbearable playing with the lag spikes, I'm eternally thankful that I didn't die during this time. I get around 60ms ping to singapore server. I decided to switch to London gateway where I get 130ms latency and the gameplay was smooth. I'm gonna stick to the european gateways for now and comeback to Singapore gateway once the issue is identified and fixed. I play from India by the way.
I've reported that the company responsible for the servers (networklayer and softlayer) are having VERY BAD routing problems with high latency and packet losses.
Just now i was having very good gaming experience until the clock hits 4.30 and

as u can see an almost 15% packet loss, and it was stretched. during the worst moments it was over 20%

EDIT: it just got worse

i still have lag issue especially today i keep getting 200-300ms. few days ago the server auto join the aus server. now i think the issue have gone, but even in singapore realm, my ping is high. i have to keep create a new instances to see which instances have <100ms below. its really annoying to do that, while mapping have no choice to change instance so i have to bear the lag. GGG please fix it
This is the email I just sent to GGG support:

"
Hi GGG Support,

I use the Singapore gateway from Hong Kong. I'm not using WiFi, my ISP has an optic fiber to my desk and my top speed is 1T. The usual ping is close to 50ms and pretty stable.

I just went inside Belly of the Beast. Last time it bumped me off to Australia doubling my ping. This time I stayed in Singapore realm, so I finished all the mini-bosses and went into fight Malachai. The ping went up to 133. I checked that I was still in Singapore realm, so I thought I could do this.

I managed to finish the whole fight under that ping. Then I picked up the loot and noticed the ping kept shooting up. I portal back to down, checked that I was still in Singapore realm, but the ping didn't stop. It kept going up to several hundreds, and eventually, packet loss, and kicked me back to login screen.

I logged back in right away, but my portal was already gone (was this an evidence that my instance crashed?). I proceeded to sort the loot I managed to grab, and got kicked to login screen once more.

I did a WinMTR trace (SG.login.pathofexile.com) afterwards. The result is different from what I got last night, which was around 50. Now I got an average of 86.

<Snip image of WinMTR>

There are multiple big threads in the forums about the same issue. Please tell Network Layer to fix their problems, and inform us on the official forum about the progress.

As this has never happened to me before from act 1 to 4 (up to starting the Rapture Machine), I suspect somethings' wrong in both the server code and Network Layer's hardware.

Edit:
Also I found out in-game ping results do not match WinMTR's. WinMTR's reporting 86 on average (worst 200), while in-game it's 98 and will jump to 300, 400 or even 1600.

And here's the response I got:

Hi there,

Thank you for getting in touch with us, the WinMTR report you have sent in does show a spike at the 4th hop which could be an intermittent issue with this node, these can be hard to pinpoint. Do these latency spikes occur at the same time as a drop in FPS? IF so this could be a sign that the issue is more system related than the internet connection.

Kind regards,
Mike P

Seems to have completely ignored most of the facts I provided (e.g. ping got worse the moment I stepped into boss room) and went ahead to question my system - i7 and Asus GTX980 Gold which are capable of running Witcher 3 (Hairworks at low, everything else max) smoothly.

Doesn't seem like they even recognize there's a problem...
bump! GGG please let us know if u every did something for the server
cant play!!!
