I don't think it's actually true. Announcements are always posted here first. The info we get from reddit first is usually just tidbits from casual conversations. Yes, Reddit gets more casual conversations from devs (I think...) but we get the announcements, which are more information-dense. Reddit can repost those all they want, but it was still here first. Depends heavily on the dev in question, and in total last time and actual count was done (that I saw) the forum was still slightly in the lead. If anyone's actually enough on the warpath about this to think that if a dev happens to be reading reddit in their off time and sees an opportunity to casually add something to a conversation and interact with a community, that they should be forced to instead come here, find a similar post here (which might not exist) to respond to and do that instead, then quite frankly, I don't care what those (entirely hypothetical) people think.
