Guy I'm like replying to him not you I ono what's your problem it seems to be you desync'd aka client disagreed w/e the fuck you were doing therefor you didn't teleport and died horribly then made a post on the forum calling everyone fan boys.

maybe I'm not picking up on your sense of humor....
It seems like most replies are of the "you suck" variety, which I don't mind if thet're legit, but I'm offering examples/info of why their points aren't true....I did not desync, this issue with lightning warp happenes all the time even when I'm by myself....
i still don't know what you're saying. I know you post on here a lot and you play a lot, but I don't know what you're saying.

for everyone saying I get interuppted.....

IT SHOWS THE FUCKING SPELL BEING CAST

On the client it does.

go on......

how does this help me play the game???

The client reflects that you've cast the spell because the cast time is lower than the latecy between you and the server (as such it predicts that cast). However, on the server, the cast command is posted and interrupted by mob hits before it can complete.

It's a bit of a weird quirk with the prediction system. Unfortunately, there is no real way to mitigate it.

As for the other times when you are not getting mobbed, I am not sure sorry. I have had a few instances where it has occurred, usually it relates to my position. If you are desynched and don't have line of sight to the target space on the server, the client will again predict a successful jump before the server goes, "No, no, no son, get back where you come from then, thats a good little nipper."

Because of the way it works, it is not something you can solve from your end, you can only play around it. I know this doesn't help, but chalk me up as another supporter for a better netcode experience.

EDIT: If it happens a lot, are you playing a desync prone build? Flicker? High movespeed? Cyclone? etc.

thanks, that was an informative response.

I try to play around it, hence my thinking of hitting alt f4 when i saw this happening....Because I've been fucked over by this before. Unfortunately I thought no, no, that's the pussy way of playing the game.
9 times out of 10 I manage to survive by either warping away or just killing the mobs first. I wish I just tried killing the mobs.

Stats: 3200 life, 1000 unreserve mana (CoD), 22K DPS (EK)....not a tank but can usually survive most stuff. White mobs should not have killed me.

I realize that by playing the game we all get better at anticipating the desync issues, but dammit, it just pisses me off when you die to stuff this is you were a brand new player you wouldn't have known about...feels so cheap.

Anyways, thanks for your replies all.
So should we close this thread and move it to Feedback or Gameplay help?

:)

desync bad computer lag pick one. I have no strong box problems. I lightning warp everytime to cast on hit assassins marks on hit and would have noticed.
Git R Dun!
Glad to see some decent people helped out in the end. So many Wankers on this forum acting like School bullies.

Opening stongboxes in confined spaces is also a problem for me, I had several deaths in Crematorium maps leveling to 91 for this reason. Worst part was I knew it was risky, but could not stop myself from opening the Strong box sitting in a Small Cell block, who knows what it might contain? I think If you are using COD and have decent DPS might be worth simply poping a granite flask when you open it and open up on the mobs with everything you've got, most shit from boxes gets melted pretty quick. If it contains a rouge exile, and is in a tight area, it might be worth rerolling the box if you think it is too risky and you dont want to risk loosing xp. Cheers, and good luck.
