And it being a staff as the greatest drawback tells us enough about the overall item/weapon situation.

I thought this staff was brokenly OP immediately, but i realised its actually absolute shit compared to a mirrored rare.

Assuming you are using the empower gem, you are losing 4 gem levels (1 empower, 1 gem, 2 elemental) which is massive. From the Arc dude who solo'd uber atziri, he preferred putting his main spell in a 4L instead of a 6L JUST FOR 2 GEM LEVELS. The 7th link is nowhere near close to being worth the damage 4 gem levels gives.

It has no cast speed. Cast speed is difficult to find. Its a huge loss.

The spell damage is OK... but again 1 handed wands come close. The fact it takes 2 hands is a huge drawback, no block or life/es/resists.

Lastly, it has no crit which is minor compared to the others but still something.



Its a neat niche staff, but its trash compared to t1 rares or Acuity/Shavs. I would welcome it to the PoE family if it was common, but... its a stupid uber atziri drop thats going to be artificially expensive for the all uniques owned challenge.

Hopefully GGG makes it common, making it an enabler for non-elemental MoM no-crit spell casters.

The staff is not OP in any way, shape, or form. It's a great beginners stepping stone, but it lacks a lot.

First: I never said my stuff is crafted monsters ueber rmt bulshit you are using.
Second: I only referred to the fact, that every +2 +1 gems item would probably be better than this new unique at a 0.00000005% of its price.

I am mostly in Standard (like 90% of the time I am playing)... and dont have any mirror rmt bulshit items. And I hate 4 Month Leagues. Because why should I start from 0 when I have high level chars already and can grind?
Btw wasting like 15 hours to get to 75+ where the fun really starts is boring if done more than 4-5 times.

Wouldn't the level 30 echo give it a huge cast speed increase?

Don't try to use logic with league people, they prefer to be hamsters spinning in a wheel. Them talking down to people who play in Standard just shows how little they think about the time they spend in this game.

The first 15 hours is the best part in my opinion..... but back on topic.

A good staff for beginner, 6 linked I'm sure it would preform very, very well in 78 maps. Atziri is a different story all together.
