FPS Goes from 60 to 20 consistantly - No matter what graphical settings

My r9 280x can't even handle path of exile. The engine is just extremely poorly optimized

It may be, but I fixed it with the frame limiter. Now I am having issues with the game freezing for 5-10 seconds when someone logs on or off occasionally.
I love pie.
Spoiler

It's an SLI 770M so what I am told is it is like a single 780M. Regardless the only game I seem to run into issues with is PoE. FPS spikes/drops, stuttering here and there. Shadows seem to be a huge tax even on low. Though shadows in The Witcher 2 don't even harm my fps.
I love pie.
I don't think PoE is really SLI aware/ready... but there is this thread which might be of some assistance in an SLI setup.

Well, it's an improvement. I can run on max settings now with little to very infrequent stutter issues, or fps spikes. I am using fraps to display fps, since the in game fps chart is very shoddy imo. It's a constant 58-60 (Vsync), which I am fine with.
I love pie.
