FPS Goes from 60 to 20 consistantly - No matter what graphical settings
PC Specs -
GTX 770Mx2 SLI Intel Core i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz 8GB Ram Basically no matter what settings (And I can run PoE at max usually no issues unless some crazy group dischargers or summoners are in the mix) this has started to happen, and I am not sure when, but I have noticed it the past few days, and I haven't done anything different to my computer in a while. Below is a screenshot of the F1 data.

Quite odd how it's fluctuating like that. Have you checked for any other programs running in the background that may be affecting it's performance?
Has any exile really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

This can happen on some nvidia cards... the best way to fix it from what I've seen is to use nvidia inspector and set frame limiting to 60FPS (your monitor refresh rate is 60Hz I'm assuming). Once you set the frame limit, then disable all vsync outside of the game (adaptive and otherwise), then enable it in-game only.
Once you set those things, it should stabilize your frame rate quite a bit. Let us know. |

Ok, so it seems a driver update has helped fix whatever the problem was. It is a good bit more stable. Though for some reason in the Forest Encampment I get 30-40 fps on any setting, but any other city I get 60+.

![]() Well, I guess I am getting bad fluctuations now in towns. Didn't have them for the longest time, then those wierd fps spikes happened, now I updated driver, and now in town is choppy on any setting

It seems the shadows on make the game run choppy now. I haven't had this issue before. I know PoE isn't the best optimized game in the world, but surely my specs can dominate shadows on here. Diablo 3 went fine on max settings, The Witcher 2 on nearly max without supersampling on, Hawken, Battlefield 3 and 4, etc. So now I am not sure what the issue is.

Did you try what I suggested with the frame limit?
