Uh... the Scion speeches sound so pretentious and annoying
I gotta agree with Scrotie: Scion does have a bunch of strange and nonsensical quotes, but she also deeply embodies the whole "becoming the beast" aspect of PoE. She wants to talk to Brutus, learn about him, etc. instead of just killing him. She admits that her own decisions were a huge mistake when she releases the Oversoul. She acknowledges that she and Piety are similar, etc. etc.
She's interesting. Admittedly, some of the quotes are irritating, others are interesting. My personal favorite, though, will always be "Go to bed, little nightmare!" |

I like the scion.
Maybe she's gone mad from the guilt of murdering her husband, an innocent man who was unarmed and probably drunk. But probably not. I like how among the seven classes there are only 1 or 2 good guys. Provides for a nice balance. I couldn't take it when I picked the Witch Doctor in Diablo 3 and he was such a goody two shoe blarg edit: Oh, and I definitely second the more voice Shadow quotes thing. I love hearing him talk. Dernière édition par Samwell_Tarly#0174, le 4 mai 2014 à 12:30:11

" You just watched too many cheap horror flicks. Voodoo is as much about healing as it is about harming, and a witchdoctor could be viewed as a sort of a druid, which even though he strives for balance in all things prefers existence to nonexistence so is essentially 'good', although not in a conventional sense. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

Hi
CharanJaydemyr " I wrote a story about this is in a previous post,Alright secret lore, I figured it out:Templar, was a high ranking general, disgraced via Dominus; his son is the Duelist, constantly fighting to prove his fathers innocence. Eventually the duelist sees the Scion and his heart is hers, Dominus who is a competitor of the scions family hears of this and begins to set a trap in motion. The scions family highly dislikes the idea of their daughter, scion and the duelist and hires the shadow. The shadow sets up the duelist and the scion learns of this and tries to tell her lover to get away but she doesn't make it in time. The job almost goes off without a hitch except for the duelists friend the ranger was with him at the time, in the ensuing fight's chaos a palace guard slave train goes by with the Marauder and Witch in chains bound for Wraeclast, the palace guards smack them all out on secret orders of Dominus and brings them to the boat. A couple days go by and the templar gets worried and speaks with the scions family despite the animosity towards his dishonorable position in society. The scions family shows the templar the letter which mentions eloping but there is a very curious mark only high ranking templars would know of embedded in the letter, the templar immediately knows what actually transpired and leaves the bewildered scion family in haste to get passage upon the slavers boat, hiding himself as a crazy old man without pants, he gains passage for wraeclast... Tune in next time to hear of the budding love shadow has for the witch, a heart as deeply embedded in shadow as his own... Will the ranger be re-united with piety, her long lost love? Will dominus admit the truth about where the marauder comes from? And will the templar find his duelist son who will destroy anything that gets in the way of his love for the scion. Lol, cheers Conan: Crush your enemies. See them driven before you. Hear the lamentations of their women.

"Which I think was exactly his point. To pull examples from comics, Frank Castle and Bruce Wayne might be good, but — at least when done properly — not in a conventional sense. The fun of writing for or following those characters is in an examination of "what is good?" and getting us to question core assumptions on good and evil, and even what it means to be human. There's far more of that in Path of Exile than there is in Diablo 3's treatment of the Witch Doctor — who, all too often, is good in the conventional sense. When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted. If there was a micro transaction
for a leather ball-gag just for scion characters it would be the most popular MTX ever. |

" Well said. I definitely have a soft spot for characters that are depicted in shades of grey, such as the Punisher. The Witch Doctor of Diablo 3 is just not my cup of tea. |

" "All that fancy sword swinging when all you need is one good stab." Those words are music to my ears. But our Shadow would not wantonly spill blood. Perhaps he would seek the blessing of the groom's family first, alongside the promise of a generous purse :) |

" If they put that in a supporter pack they'll break records. :) Scion would be fun if she'd just shut the fuck up. " Well, I'll be the first to admit not much of the story and characterization in D3 was done in an overly mature way... hell, probably not since first Diablo, there wasn't much of 'only you can save the world, chosen one' cheesiness, or at least it was presented in a more subdued way. Actual implementation aside, I feel they have done well in not trying to portray a witch doctor as a 'me sacrifice all to great generic god of the swamp'. If a role of a friendly neighborhood witch doctor is to protect a community of unwashed swamp people that catch gators for livin', he really isn't any different than a paladin from a local chapterhouse, only their methods are different and neither would hesitate to sacrifice others for a higher cause. Still, they probably did a better job with necro in D2, he strikes you more as power-hungry and unscrupulous than genuinely evil, and even has a few soft moments. " She has to kill captain Arteri first, he was the one that took her from... her :) Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs. ◄[www.moddb.com/mods/balancedux]► ◄[www.moddb.com/mods/one-vision1]► Dernière édition par raics#7540, le 5 mai 2014 à 03:49:50
