Shadow starting area rework is on the whiteboard.
It will be interesting to see if GGG can give both the into and Dex branches a combined feeling of "master assassin" instead of the witch/duelist bifurcation we have now.
Hopefully the Int branch will be more crit-based and mana, while the Dex gets into dagger earlier. The int branch then becomes a viable path for both caster and melee Shadows, while the early Dex path is all about his supposed specialization.
As for Reave, it remains a poor man's Cleave to me. Sad as it is, Whirling Blades is a better AoE for a Shadow. If not for the violent desync and ensuing tendency to miss, WB would be a lot more popular. I obliterate things with Scorned and WB, usually accidentally as I am trying to move around the battlefield.
Buuuut it's not true dual wield AoE either.
Dual strike splash is about it right now. And I don't know if that could be any more boring (and stupid looking for some weapons).
Daggers/swords being two of those stupid looking ones.
WB massive desync (as almost skill in this game that uses movement in its attack pattern).
I haven't heard about that rework was on the schedule. Sad thing is, it will probably take 4 months (till next leagues prolly) but a welcome change nonetheless.
Sadly, all these problems (or things i find problem in this game) are making me to consider changing to another game. I took a look at new patch notes for D3 and is everything i was asking for PoE in my thread. Really makes me wanna give it one more chance. Also i saw Grim Dawn the other day and it looks great.
