PoE population?
" runescape is kind of a bad game to compare stats to though. Games been around since 2001 and is honestly far more well known then POE is, since POE is a niche of a niche genre. |

" Actually, Steam is the biggest PC platform now, and I think most avid PC gamers do use it these days. This means that many gamers are already Steam users, so playing it through Steam comes naturally (I switched to the Steam version at release). There are some advantages (and no downsides if you use Steam anyway): - No need to type in the password. - No confirmation emails when your IP address changes. - Automatic instant updates even if you are not playing at the moment. - Integrated Steam community features. - Steam trading cards (can be sold, which makes MTX cheaper). - Steam achievements, if you like them. - All your games centralized in one interface and directory structure. I'd speculate that many OB players did switch to Steam when PoE became available there, but that's just opinion. I don't think it's a small percentage, however. Only GGG knows for sure and they won't give us numbers for understandable reasons. | |
I doubt they will say just like d3 never said but instead quote thier 12m sold number. I bet more ppl are playing PoE though. For awile I couldnt even find a pub in diablo.
