If this "+%life node" you are talking about would be just one point away I would agree with you. (All +%life nodes you can reach just one point away you take anyways.)
BUT you need more than one point to reach +%life nodes thus your single point reward becomes useless!

So your math may be fine... but you see my point!?

I read that somewhere too.. But I have been thinking, even if I were to get that 1 skillpoint reward, where would I put it? Even without the 1 reward skillpoint, I would have already put my all my skillpoints into all the %life nodes.

What about the cruel choice though? Are you sure 12% physical damage is better then 6% attack speed? I plan to get a lot of %physical damage nodes (even before specializing in a weapon, if I specialize at all) and only the one 15% attack speed node (berserking). Wouldn't attack speed be more useful if you have a lot of damage but very low attack speed?
