PoE: SSD vs HDD

I wished, Blizzard make this Game/Engine.

No shit, you can have a PC made with stones and wood, and still can run blizz games fine.

PoE... even some decent/high end rigs have problems from time to time.

I mean GGG > Blizz with the Game as such, but Blizz > GGG in terms of "gamer friendly" and "support for shit pc/laptops"
once you go SSD you never go back.

I'm poor too but you can get SSD's now on sale for around 100 dollars.

Get that paper route and make that money.
I'm sad. My old laptop was built for gaming which I bought with money I made working over the summer before University started. It could run Skyrim on Ultra without a problem with 200 mods.

Fast forward a few years and it finally died (RIP in peace). The repairs would cost more than a new laptop which just isn't worth it as much as I long to hold my beautiful VAIO again. :c

So now I'm using this kind of crappy, cheap laptop with one of those home entertainment video cards. :D

It barely runs PoE on the lowest settings (which is why I implore GGG to let us lower the rain and smoke and shit).

Wish I could get an SSD.

SSDs are getting cheaper and bigger which is nice but to hold my system disk + gaming collection I still need large MFing SSD, quite expensive, still.

This. Get with the times people.. there is no reason why anyone should have a newer workstation/gaming rig and not be running their OS off of an SSD.

Even a vertex 1 would be a huge boost over a standard platter drive.

They do have hybrid drives now for this very need. Best of both worlds with a larger capacity.

Because 240 GB models are still nearly 200 euros.
When they hit 100 euros, I'll get one asap.

There was a solution where you could use SSD as sort of cache for your HDD, where it would put all mostly used files on, automatically. hope they'll perfect that further.
