Screen goes black for a few seconds then crashes! Plz HELP!
Recently upgraded my computer i upgraded everything except the graphics card and i think thats what is giving me the problem here.
I'll log on and get on my character and play for about 30 seconds-2 minutes and then my entire screen will go black and i still hear everything, the video will come back and then will go black again and eventually crash. its not my firewall, i dont have a creative sound card. My graphics card is a GTX 560 Ti and the drivers are fully updated. Any ideas? http://i.minus.com/iOczh7j3HwvOe.gif

Maybe the video card is dying, overheating, or not getting enough power. Did you try using older drivers?

Well it was working yesterday before i put it in the new computer and the power isnt an issue. it only happens on PoE no other game. I can try using some of the older drivers.

Older video card drivers don't work. It will crash and i get a windows message in the bottom right saying the video card driver has failed something like that
and if im on youtube this will happen. http://puu.sh/5BIuH.png http://i.minus.com/iOczh7j3HwvOe.gif

Sounds to me like a card/driver failure. Could be due to the card itself overheating or other similar problem, or could be a problem in the driver itself.
Is your card overclocked? Have you verified the temperatures of the GPU while playing PoE through something like HWMonitor? What do the CPU/GPU/Case temps look like when playing PoE? |

I'll try downloading that and looking at the temps. it is a smaller case so i guess that could happen. its only with PoE though i havnt had any issues with any other games.

" You can't compare "other games". Each piece of software has its own demands on the system, and how it operates. "other games" might not be nearly as demanding on the GPU (due to optimizations or other reasons). You should refrain from ever using that expression again because it rarely actually means anything. You have to treat each component and software on its own merits. Not all software or hardware is made the same, so it is not accurate to try to compare them in that way. PoE is actually a VERY demanding game on resources (even though you might not feel it looks like it). |

Okay let me do a few temp tests. this is what i got when i launched Poe and just stood in Lionseye. http://puu.sh/5C8xg.png
