I've managed to download it through a trick with steam community which allowed me to "play game" which prompted an install.

I sincerely hope they don't plan a separate realm for Russia, with total translation etc. I mean it's a good option, but I prefer to play on english-speaking servers and I don't really like game localizations (mostly because there's often something lost when translated from developer's language).

not working for me, i got that region error message when steam opens

I'm new here and haven't even started the game but i want to play it through Steam. I have the same problem and can't use that trick where you don't login Steam and download game because it says "This game was activated with a product code that is valid only in a specific geographic region. Since you are not rurrently in that region Path of Exile is not available to play". Please help me. The game client is too slow or just corrupted and i can't download it. It's patching for eternity.
