Game crashes when entering/changing zones through whole act3.Especially Lunaris,Marketplace,Barracks.

I've been playing since OB started and I've experienced this in multiple acts and in multiple zone and I can count the amount of times it's happened on 2 hands.

So if it's happening to you all the time then there's more to it that just the game.

Just gonan say this never happens to me.

It did happen once in CB, turns out my file was slightly corrupted.

As soon as I fixed that, never a problem.

Perhaps try trying to fix things, it seems to be you not them

I think there is some way to force the launcher to check the game cache as we
can do in Steam launched games. However I forget how to force the PoE launcher to do that.

I'd suspect you do have some corrupt files that affect that area causing the crash.

Either that or some grphic driver weirdness perhaps.
One could have a HD file system error too.

I run the game a lot here, never had it crash once on me and yes, I've been
in that zone you mentioned many times, just was in it 40 minutes ago with my witch.

I suggest when you post in any forum about crashing you post full system specs.
That is the basic thing one should do, just posting ' oh I crash here' is not
going to get you or anyone anywhere.

post your system specs in as much detail as you can manage.

Operating system, RAM, CPU, GPU, GPU Driver version, sound card or sound subsystem info,
so on and and so forth.
Lacking that simple basic footprint of info, reports of a crash or some such are
fairly useless.

Had the same problem when I still used an old PC with 32x Windows. There seems to be a massive memory issue with 32x (because 32x cannot commit more than 2gb to a single process). If you are still on an old OS, this is the issue.
Here's one more with little to no crashes.
Moreover, since I'm running the game on Linux, chances are it's not a PoE problem but a problem with Wine.

I think corrupted files or 32 bit OS are the most likely causes for your crashes.

Okay, I just got me a new computer. Mid end price with higher end performance. Quadcore 3.0 GHz AMD processor, good Asus board, 1 gig video card (1200 MHz DDR3), 8 Gigs RAM (1800 MHz DDR3) and a brand new install of Windows 7 Ultimate x64. The machine is 2 months old and clean of viruses and malware.

I tell you this because for a long time I was playing PoE on my old computer. I had errors, crashes, disconnections when loading instances, etc, etc, etc. It wasn't a bad machine, it met the system requirements stated by GGG. I also have an 80 m/bit cable line and a good router. Yet PoE was basically unplayable.

I didn't get my new machine to play PoE, I got it because I could finally afford a decent machine. Now I can play PoE on it on max graphic settings. I say I can play on max graphics settings, but it is rather laggy and unresponsive. Turning the settings down helps. It doesn't crash any more. I don't get load errors or disconnections when going to a new instance. Yet there are still times where the game is unstable. It's not my connection. It's not my provider. It's not my ping. It certainly isn't my PC.

I'll leave it up to the rest of you to draw your conclusions...

*blinks* Not on my system. I've had a [very] few game crashes and they were at no predictable spot in the game... usually with me just standing around in town or somesuch. I certainly don't have enough of a pattern to finger act3 as a culprit nor do I have enough frequency to care.
I don't trade. I don't group. My comments reflect that.

I had this problem, too, but I am pretty sure it had to do with not enough RAM. PoE is a resource hog!
