Unless the wiki is mistaken, they do the same exact same damage per level. Outside of that, what you're missing is the attack speed, you can get 2-3 ground slams out (maybe more, I'm just guessing) in the time it takes to leap. Unless you're using Leap for movement, Ground Slam is simply better.
