How to bypass flicker strike cool down?

that is one thing i hate about the frenzy skill... i have been using it with the Conduit passive to buff my party and i really hate that is misses so much... with the amount of mana skills use in this game i don't think they should miss.

with this new CD system it will make my buffing build more usful.... if i can get it to work again with the new passive tree. :'(

Hitting something is easy if you have Resolute Technique.

I have a marauder with Resolute Technique and Blood Magic and I accidentally stumbled onto the Flicker Strike/Blood Rage combo, and it gets ridiculous - I often do it until I die, and actually had to stop using it in Ruthless because I die too often. It's really fun, though, and truly infinite as long as you have enough life gain/flasks/life leech stuff.
There's an even easier way blood rage + CI will generate free frenzies for flicker.

Yes... but if I'm not mistaken, if I get hit with one life, then I die, correct? I have a problem with dying at 600 life.

The concept behind Chaos Innoculation is that your energy shield is increased by 50% to compensate for the reduction of life. CI+BR is a fairly standard tactic.

The issue with using BR to get Frenzy charges is you need to hit *really* hard to maintain it. I prefer to just swipe in some Frenzy hits with my Shadow and then unleash a series of Flickers as a finisher. But that's on Merciless where a durable melee shadow really cannot afford to be fully offensive-specced and likely will not be killing things in one shot.
And they said *I* was bad at PoE. At least I made it out of act 1 and know how to use the /dnd function. El oh fucking el.

Energy shield would like a word.
I'd recomend building a flicker strike char by basing it on three skills:

First of all: Blood Rage. It'll leach your life but it'll also give you frenzy charges and a mana/life leach. The frenzy charges will bypass the Flicker Strike cooldown.

Secondly: Warlords mark with an atached Totem suport gem. This will alow you (or in this case, the totem) to continuously cast Warlords Mark on mobs without having to stop the spamming of flickerstrike. Warlords Mark will give you additional life leach, endurance charges (wich gives you more armour) and it'll fill up your flasks faster. This is a good way to remove much of the squeshy-ness of most flicker strike chars, and it'll also make it so that your mana flask will fill up faster.

Thirdly: Flicker Strike. I don't think I need to explain why.

I like that they've nerfed flicker strike with a cooldown (I am a flicker strike user myslef). Now you actually have to make an effort in order to make a decent fs build.

I also think the cooldown is a great way to come up with better tactics. Spamming FS without no limit other than mana usage seems really OP in that regard.

However, I wonder if other monsters that use FS (including Kraityn) have that cooldown because it sometimes seems like it doesn't.

Also FS is probably the safest way to take down a boss by its lonesome.

Theory-build I just came up with:

Two-handed sword shadow
+Chaos Innoculation
+Lots of sword damage
+Tons of +critical strike chance and +critical strike damage

Basic strategy would be: perma-run blood rage, get your flicker strike damage up so high, that you one shot monsters with it. Devastating critical damage. You should in theory, then have the ability to spam flicker strike as much as your mana can allow.

Not sure how well this would turn out. But it could be interesting! Maybe it would be better with blood magic and life steal.

I've hated the idea of a CD on FS, I've not tried the Frenzy charges way yet, but i think now that this maybe well doned and could give birth to some interresting builds...
