How many % energy shield nodes for CI?

5k is really low considering some map rhoas hit for close to 6 7k remeber ci mean clsoe to zero armor

this is bullshit, i have never been 1 shot by a rhoa and i've had them charge at me from over a screen away. they can get close to killing me, but they've never done more than 3k at a time. i ran 5k ES for a while, and while nerve-racking, not impossible if you have hand-eye coordination.

Yes, this is the way to do it. Take all the hybrid ES/other nodes you can, so you can mix in a bit of mitigation with all that ES. Granite flasks, Molten Shell and Grace aura can make a big difference even if you're wearing pure silks.

If you cant dodge a roha (as in, take a step to the side.) if you see it coming from a screen away you might as well let a plant play instead of you, because it probably has better reflexes than you do.

To answer the OP. I have around 4k ES and ~250 regen and do fine in maps up to 73. (low life thing, tho most of the heat is taken by totems). I hear if you were to play pure CI, you should aim for around 7k ES, much lower for dualtotem/summoners.

If you use grace and IR, this is not necessarily true. You have plenty of armor, not to mention you can forget about health pots and run granites all day.

im doing fine with 177% ES. got a hybrid chest but still almost 7k ES. its not HC tho.
