Asenath's Gentle Touch --Review & What level Temporal Chains?
Can someone tell what level Chains these gloves lay down?
My reaction to using them for several days is mixed but positive overall. The stats for the gloves are good, but the ease at which you can lay down multiple curses is very sweet. I am using them with a high level Enfeeble. I can combine them with other curses and when combined with Windscream, Doedre's ring and the keystone you can lay down up to 4 curses at a time which has a lot of utility. The curse generation applies to even Totem hits so when I lay down my Arc totem it starts laying out curses before I even see the mobs in many cases. Downsides are many. The biggest is that the curse does not stack, so you need other gear to make them scream which ties up another slot. Right now I am using Doedre's ring for dual stacking curses. There are a ton of really good gloves out there that provide resist, attack speed, damage, and a host of things these gloves are missing. Prior to endgame I think they are almost a no brainer for many builds, especially Wand Templar Support builds like I am running, or any Totem build like Dual Spark/Pulse or Minion Totem builds. The one mistake I think is that they did not make the gloves curse stack with other curses. If it is not a level 20 Chains, then that would also be a way to beef up the gloves. On a down note, I have had one person rage quit a party over the curse as some people get very obsessed with their curses. My goal is to be able to put down dual totems, 4 curses (Chains, Enfeeble, Elemental Weakness, Warlords) and support 6 curses while using Conduit to share charges. I think I will be the life of the party... [Edit: got my Windscreams so I now have the option to put down three curses] --- Neroon "Love is a form of Insanity" IGN Standard: Caernavon, Cassius__Clay, Lictor_Severian IGN Anarchy: I_Think_Were_Alone_Now, CrystalBluePersuasion, Citizen_Gkar Dernière édition par Neroon58#6138, le 25 avr. 2013 à 10:58:15

Awesome post, thanks for the info.
GGG needs to tell us what level curse we're casting with these gloves. :P |

Anytime a Unique has a skill/support gem effect there should be text as to what level it is. I'm hoping someone from GGG will get us an answer.

Follow up to my post with some additional comments.
Love the gloves. They make it so easy to lay down a 2nd curse when combined with the Doedre's ring or the Windscreams. With both on you can lay down three curses which means more party goodness. I am running Krips Wand Templar Support build and this just makes the build an even better support monster. --- Neroon "Love is a form of Insanity"

I'm using these gloves currently with my main Fire Trap Shadow build (Hillock dropped 'em last night, only my 4th Unique drop). Liking them a lot. Coupled with "Blind" support gem it works a treat in AOE crowd control.
I first lay down a Crit Weakness for my high crit Fire Trap, then as soon as traps hit I lay down a Vulnerability curse before I mop up with more traps and/or my Dual Strike claws. Didn't opt for Flammability curse as I already have Fire Penetration support and I don't want to have to use more than one or two "manual" curses. Temporal Chains really increases my survivability as I don't have a lot of HP right now (level 52 and only 1300 HP). If I put on my HP gloves It only bumps up to about 1450 HP anyway but as I'm not getting hit as much I think the TC is a good option (with Grace aura gives me 45% evade). Timezone: GMT +10 (Australia). CASUAL player but I play whenever I can.

couldn't you test this in pvp by seeing how much your opponents movement speed falls by to figure out the level of the temp chains.....?
So many build ideas... no time....

" A good suggestion! But the item should state it regardless. IRON MAN

Tried testing and there was nothing in the character stats to indicate the exact loss.

im divided on whether or not this should be a stack curse.
one one hand if they did stack they would be almost godlike and be almost must have for solo. on the other.. without stack they are almost useless and requires substantial trade off of either a +1 curse unique or the passive. I'm leaning to at least +1 curse because the party hassle of using them is a HUGE drawback... when people use these i ask them to take swap them or get kicked. way too big of a drawback currently to justify these when you can just cast TC regularly. personally I would like to see the effect outside the bonds of a curse. a curse that "stacks" but other party members(or yourself) could cast on top off it. basically a curse that cant be reset by anyone but can be stacked onto. If you can have conduit on gloves then why not a curse "outside" of curses. " Interesting comments and I agree that it should be treated as something apart from the regular curse cycle. What do you see as the 'HUGE drawback'? My character is designed as a support character. By using these I can lay down up to three curses at a time. I have the flexibility to combine pretty much any curses. For me I put down TC and Enfeeble most of the time when only doing two. Other times I put down TC, Enfeeble, and either Ele Weak, or Proj Weak. --- Neroon "Love is a form of Insanity"
