PIllar of the Caged God is a real let down for me;
" As a low level twink (level 28), the character I made today has 2k dps with heavy strike and this unique, which is pretty good for that level I'd say. Especially considering that it's mostly phys damage. Only facebreakers can rival that phys damage at this level. It has about 25% more damage than this staff and a dedicated build. Just FYI le heup isn't nearly as good as a normal rare with 6-12 phys mod which can be found a lvl 28 item. This is because le heup's increased damage mod is actually only equal to about 16 strength with MKB. Course, maybe you need the dex for gems or that 17 all res just perfectly completes your res, just thought I'd mention it.

" 20 dex and 20 INT gives 2aspd and 1% extra AoE with the pillar. But yeah, you could probably get a better rare item, but it's not really worth spending lots to get the perfect lvl 28 dps. 2k is already more than enough. Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea:

so this is my build i have 675 str 227 dex atm that means my pillar has around 400 damage,1.56 aps i have 3600 dps with double s. with that. with terminus 6300 dps with d strike . same attack speed . i dont understand whats wrong ? i think damage and as increases display on item like diablo 2 . imo there must be bug about damage increases on that weapon Dernière édition par StaraTruje#3304, le 8 nov. 2013 à 03:20:44

Damage increase on Pillar isn't local but global, same as with facebreakers, basically, you build for pillar the same as for FB and use the same gear. You got so much increased damage with it that you can safely skip the nodes on the tree and go for all-out defense.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

oh such a waste of time if its global enc damage they must wrote it correct. says increase weapon psy damage. that means 5.38 damage added every 10 str.

" When I read it, I see "increased physical weapon damage", so nothing surprising to me about it. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

" Just build it as a facebreaker and enjoy, you can't use a shield but you can get 30+ block chance easily, you have more slots for flat damage gear than FB, and you have an extra 6L slot. Not to mention better skill selection with staves than unarmed, the build is a steamroller through pretty much the whole game. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

I know this item has since then been buffed, but I also note you're not using a lot of gear with x-y increased physical damage. Face breakers, which operate under the same mode of operands, would suck too with that gear.
A scion may be born of the rich, and as such hold more opportunity...
but a scion will never be able to appreciate the finer beauty of those less fortunate. |
